These days, my bell ringing practice has gotten a little more complicated. Instead of just ringing the bell, my human also finds some random object for me to touch.
But there’s a reason. There’s not a whole lot of opportunities for me to ring a bell, but there always seems to be a need to have me touching something.
So whenever she pulls out the bell these days, chances are she’s going to pick out a few other things for me to touch too.
She shot some video during one of our recent sessions, and you can see me touching these items, and another one below.

Good practice Summer!
Such a smart kitty! I really enjoy your blog. ❤️
Summer you are so smart. I’m inspired by you when teaching Princess tricks. It’s a gift. My sweet Rosie just looks at me confused. Bless her sweet heart. Princess is like “there’s treats involved, I’ll jump through fire” well, not really Summer. Obviously I would never do that mol. Just proving a point. Princess will perform for treats
Great job, Summer! Mudpie touches her treat bag when she wants some. I never showed her how to either! She started doing it on her own.
I think that is the nearest you will get to touching a bird!
You are a real pro!
You do those things really well Summer!
You are getting mighty good at touching and the reward looks good too 😉
Purrs, Julie
You are very good at this. It’s obvious how useful
this “touch” ability can be for advertisements.
Those are some weird things for you to be touching, Summer.
