Just for fun, I thought I’d track down some vintage cat video clips today. The first one isn’t just vintage — it’s an antique! From 1903, to be exact. The title is “The Sick Kitten,” although the kitten does not look sick to me, and the “medicine” looks an awful lot like cream.

The next clip of newsreel snippets, from the 1930s and 1940s, is mostly cats and a little of some other creatures (including, bleagh, dogs). I think cat shows have changed a bit since then.

I love this old Purina Cat Chow commercial — not sure what decade it’s from (1970s?), but the acting is first rate!

Mommy remembers that Purina commercial was a “takeoff” of a people comercial, but she can’t remember which one. Shen mummbles something about menopause and “the 60’s”
