It has been a really rough year for Tuna and the Rock-Cats. Their guitarist Pinky died of breast cancer, their bowling chicken Hendiana died just a couple of days ago, and their tour bus has been falling apart all across the U.S. The lack of reliable wheels is making it really difficult for Tuna and her gang to bring their awesome show of acrobatic tricks and real cats playing real instruments to everyone who wants to see it. What they really need is a new tour bus… except they don’t have the money. So Samantha Martin, the cats’ well-trained human, came up with a Kickstarter campaign to raise the funds. Check it out — it’s three minutes of fun:
If you can’t see the video above, you can go directly to the Rock-Cats’ Kickstarter campaign page.
The cool thing about Kickstarter is that there are different levels at which you can help fund this project, and each level has its own perk. They range from getting a bumper sticker and Tuna and the Rock-Cats postcard, tickets to the show, cat toys, hoodies, all the way up to having the cats perform a show in your town… even your own house! Click here to see the Kickstarter campaign and check out all the different funding levels.
The thing I especially love about Tuna and the Rock-Cats is that they are rescue cats! Samantha saves kitties and fosters them on the road while they teach her their tricks. So far she has adopted out 90 fosters! Some of them, of course, get smitten by show biz and decide to become part of the show. So this is both fun and a good cause!
So please spread the word! As of last night, they had a little over $5,000 dollars raised, and they will need $28,000 by October 28 to get a new tour bus and catify it. Kickstarter requires that the full amount be funded or the money gets returned, so help these kitties out! Since I don’t have a rescue cause for October, I’ll have the Rock-Cats widget on my sidebar so you can see how their project is progressing. But don’t wait — help them realize their goal now!
Thank you again to all! We are very excited to be almost 30% funded! 30 days left

This looks like a great thing to help. That is so terrific how those cats do all those tricks and play the instruments. The video was great. I sure will try to help raise some money for them. Take care.
