Sunday Catinee: By Cats, for Cats

December 12, 2010 By: Sparkle Cat25 Comments

I was going to do a post on my cool Paw It Forward Package from Marg and her Pets, but it will have to wait until Tuesday because I just found out about this new mini-doc called Cat Diaries: The First Ever Movie Filmed by Cats! It was completely shot by cats who had video cameras attached to their collars. And while I get the feeling that it was edited by a human, it does show the world from our point of view. Enjoy!

That was a pawesome video! Those kitties sure get around to all kinds of places. Our mommy gasped when they got outside. She thinks kitties should stay safe and sound inside. But she also thought all we do is sleep and this video proved that wrong.

Our mom really enjoyed that video. And we loved the part where the lady bug was snatched up and dangling.

That was SO COOL! We loved the wrasslin scenes. But the cutest was when the little buggy got grabbed. We could even see its little legs wrigglin!

I liked it when the cat picked up the bug and how whiskers were almost always in the shot 🙂

That is pawsome! I want to put a camera on Jonesie so we can truly get the scoop of what happens in the garden. I love the little bug that the kitty caught! Impressive.

I would love it if Jonesie, or another gardening kitty, could film their adventures! That would be especially fun for an indoor-only kitty like me who never gets to see the outside world (excepting the vet clinic).

That was pretty cool, Sparkle. But now the humans will all know what us cats do when they leave us…and some things should still be a mystery….

That is a super video. What an interesting view of life from a cat’s view. What a good kitty to wear the camera. That was a great idea. Thanks for the shout out Sparkle. Take care and have a super day.

Interesting video! I love it! Now I can see why cats prefer high places–from the floor or the ground, they really don’t see much do they?

It boils down to what is important to see – if there is a bug on the ground, that’s when you don’t want to be up high!

I’ve done photography, with a small camera around my neck. I’m sure I could do film – I am just not sure my human is a capable enough editor to put together as pawsome a video as this one!
