Have you heard of Joy Jars? My human just found out about them. The idea is really simple, but powerful. You have a jar, and every time something good or fun or special happens, you write it down and put it in a jar. You do it all year, then on New Year’s Day, you open up the jar and read all the joy the past 12 months brought.
Here is an example of my own! I used my pet shop visit from the other day.
So you just fold up your note and drop it in the jar. I can’t wait to have more notes!
My human and I both have them for this year! And I even made a short video about them, which you can see below.
Have you heard of Joy Jars before? Do you have one, or are you planning on starting one now? Let me know in the comments!

Never heard of them before…but it is a great idea! I should probably start one to remind me of the good times when I am having a bad time. Summer, thank you for sharing this.

I hadn’t heard about these before. I’ve heard about prayer boxes and have thought that they are a good idea but a joy jar would be very nice. It is easy to forget all of the good things that happen through the year so what a wonderful way to remember those things.
Didn’t know what they were ….just recently heard the word.
I don’t think I’ll try to do this. I already have trouble remembering
everything I’m supposed to do …this would add to the list.
That’s such a cool idea, Summer! We bet your joy jar will be awesome and very full at the end of the year!
Mom’s friend does that and Mom always says she’s going to. Maybe this will make her do it.
What a fun idea! Thanks so much for telling us about this, Summer!
I had not heard of this. That is such a great idea. I want to do it with my great nieces. XO
And instead of waiting a whole year, you could go back and look through the jar if you were having ome discouraging days too,

That’s great Summer. You and your human have so much joy and a happy life. Me, not so much. You and my girls do bring me joy but my life isn’t a happy one Sunner
I have never heard of them before, but it is a good idea.
