As if it weren’t bad enough that I had to accompany Binga to her vet appointment last week, I had to have my own checkup — at a completely different clinic — a few days later! Although the vet said I checked out fine, my human was beginning to wonder if there was something wrong with my head because I took just about every wrong turn to get back into my carrier. Even worse, she filmed it! These are just the highlights.

I was very relieved to get out of that place!
Sparkle, this is Admiral Hestorb…
Oh Sparkle..you are glorious in your fur color..I always meant to tell you that but! You have brains to match your beauty. That was VERY well done and of course, we know you meant to do it in just that way so that your mom would know she can’t put anything over on YOU…no ma’am!!!
xoxox
Well, we figure the top LOOKED closed, so ya hadda look all aroun the sides fer another way in!
Our mum was mean and laughed at you trying to get back in. I had to go to the vet today and they couldn’t get me out of the PTU. I was holding on for dear life. Dad was tipping it and mum was pulling, but I wasn’t going anywhere. Then mum said to dad, ‘For goodness sake let me have it!’ Then she tipped the PTU completely vertical and shook it and I fell out. How humiliating.

Sparkle- you really look pretty clever in this video! I liked the end when you figured out how to get back in quickly! GOOD WORK! We have these huge clunky Maine Coon Sized carriers… not as much fun as yours!
YES absolutely our PURRsons must find each other at Blogpaws- We are thrilled that your PURRson is going!!!
Smart and beautiful!
Some cats (ahem) refuse to go in the carrier (not naming any of course) and make it miserable for everyone…so I think you very very co-operative, despite the look of desperation!
What I saw there was one desperate kitteh. You need to destroy this video so it can never be used against you.
You are awesome my sweet friend, you DID it and you did it fabulous, a great scape from the Vet! Bravo!
purrs and a happy weekend,
Luna
Bless your heart, Miss Sparkle, that was just rotten of her! I wanted to share with you something that happened this week. Every single time I went to the hospital to see my dad – EVERY time, no kidding – when I would get about 3 miles away from Tulsa, either a Kix or a Rhino Bucket song would come on the radio. I had never even heard a Rhino Bucket song before that I can remember. Of course, I thought of you when it would come on, then I thought of the CB and the great community. Maybe this seems really stupid (honestly, I’m so tired right now I don’t know what’s funny and what’s not!), but I wanted to share this with you. Thank you for your purrs and prayers. It was comforting during a really bad week.

See? It was a reminder that we were purring for you and your dad!
Well, Sparkle, OF COURSE you couldn’t get into that THING! I mean, where was the stupid OPENING? What’s wrong with your Mom to set an impossible task like that and then wonder why you can’t do it and then FILM you so you will be all embarrassed?!?! Pfft. She just lost about elebenty billion points on HER Review!
Who wants to get in a carrier for any reason!?
Sparkle, we knew you would figure it out!
Sparkle, we think you’re pretty smart to know that once you’re in that carrier you get to go home!
Poor Sparkle!!! You were SOOOOO determined to get back into that carrier!! I have never seen a kitty move so fast! I just wanted to give you the biggest hug!!!
I loved this so much I posted it on my Cat Chat Facebook page!
xoxo
OMC! I’ve gone viral!
I don’t blame you for getting a little panicky, Sparkle. I wouldn’t have been able to find where to get in either!
Going to the vet is the PITS. Leaving the place is the only time that is good to get into the carrier. You’ve got a fashionable one; mine is one of those conventional hard plastic PTU that you need to jump back in.
Oh, Sparkle! It happens to all of us sometimes. At least you found your way in the end!
Well, “they” certainly did not make it easy for you, did they?! Honestly!
Oh Sparkle, I know how you felt! I can’t wait to get back into my carrier when I’m at the vet. But I have to say, I am also a very intelligent cat, but I also have my not-too-bright moments. Especially when I’m panicked. Sometimes when I can’t figure out how to get a door open or something, I just lie on the floor in front of it and roll around! My hooman calls this “doing barrel rolls” although I’m not sure I know what this means, since I am shaped nothing like a barrel.
awww poor Sparkle! you did a good job i think! very handy with those paw paws!
my cats have the same carrier and yours looks MUCH better off!
Guess you really didn’t want to be there Sparkle. I think I would’ve done the same thing!
Sparkle, we cannot get over the unfairness of having to go to the vet, TWICE!!!
If it weren’t for the fact that you had to ride in your carrier, we would have whizzed on it in protest.
Thank Cod you finally ecsaped inside, even your tail tip!
Actually, we’re very impressed by your determination to get back into the carrier.
Good job, Sparkle. At least you finally found the entrance. I have to admit that I kinda act the same way when I have to go to the doctor 🙂
Yeah well you MEANT to do that right?
Uh, that’s right – even though I came out through the top, I figured there had to be a different way to get back in. Yeah.
You were NOT a happy cat, were you Sparkle!?
You were one determined kitty Sparkle. YAY – you made it. Can’t blame you for being anxious. Hope you get a good report tho.
You’s got in. It was just a little different than yous usually does! BTW, me has the same carrier!
Nellie
Actually you did a great job Sparkle and it looked pretty darn normal to me!
I’m impressed you managed to squeeze in through that little opening! Also, you have such interesting colors in your fur – so lovely!
We think you’re pretty smart if you figured out how to get out of the V-E-T office!
The Florida Furkids and Angel Sniffie
You sure did want to get in that carrier! I HATE going in the carrier when we are at home, but at the vet’s it is the only place I want to be.
I’m sure you were just out of sorts being at the vet Sparkle!
We bet you were getting desperate to get back in your carrier – thank goodness you found the opening before you were invited to spend the night at their “hotel”!!
You tried from all angles didn’t you, Sparkle? good job girl!
Sparkle, we don’t think they made it easy for you to get back in your carrier!!
pee ees. we’re curious as to why you go to a different v-e-t than Binga…
It just worked out that way – my vets have a whole folder on me, and since they know my history, my human keeps bringing me back there. But the other vet (the one Binga goes to) is just as good… and cheaper!
That opening was hard to find. We think you did super to get back into the carrier. Poor thing, you really wanted out of there. We don’t blame you one bit, two visits to the vet in a week is just not fair .
Oh Sparkle, I think you are very smart to finally find the correct opening and squeeze right in!
MOL… You are SUPER COOL, Sparkle !!!!
I better watch this video again and again !!!
Cause I might have to do the same thing One Day : )
