I have a treat for you today! I have some videos of critters that come visiting around my house. The humans have a security camera system, and it went off when these guys below showed up. Since the camera has a speaker, she tried talking to them… just wait til you see what happens when she does! (You will have to deal with listening to her voice, but it’s worth it.)
If you can’t see the above video, click here to watch it on YouTube.
This is a daytime view of where the raccoons were. They were probably messing around with the water. In a later video, my human caught two of them frolicking on the pavement.
The lights by the side of the house were on for the next video, and my human didn’t hear the notification sound. She only saw the visitor after it was gone.

Yep, it’s a bobcat on patrol, only minutes from downtown Los Angeles! That’s the first one my human has seen around our house.
Here is the path during the day, and I’m here to show you the difference in size between me and the bobcat!
Now you know why I’m never, ever allowed outside at night, not even on my leash!
Summer!
Yoo are brave to venture outdoors. Mine Lady sez it is too scary!!
Toffee
omc! scary but fascinating to see a bobcat!!! Glad you are all safe from the critter-visitters!
We do have coons here, but bobcat sightings are not nearly as common. Lynxes maybe further north.
Would not want to have one in our yard either…at any time! Wow!!
Oh wow Summer it all happens in neighbourhood, how exciting! 😀
Thanks so much fur sharing, we loved it

Amazing visitors, Summer!
That’s amazing that you had a bobcat in your backyard, Summer. Our human never saw any of those when he went to college near where you live!
How scary! Not that I’m scared of anything. You sure that bobcat doesn’t live on your property? The peeps used to have raccoons and opossums in their yard at the old house. Our old super said he’s seen skunks and deer in our parking garage and the peeps go in there every weekend.
Cool Kitty!
Have a super Thanksgiving…
Noodle and crew
Holy moley! A bobcat? I’m so glad you stay inside at night!
My crew has to worry about cooper’s hawks that roost in the neighborhood (and sometimes visit the yard to snack on the little birds on the feeder). Predators are everywhere, it seems.

Those raccoons are a riot! The bobcat was pretty cool too. Maybe they all came for Thanksgiving turkey!
We’ve had raccoons here…they like to eat the bird food. Right now, we have a coyote problem on the island, so no small animals should ever go out at night unattended.
You get a lot of cool visitors, Summer! It was funny to see all those raccoon eyes light up in the first video. They are such silly creatures. The bobcat is really pawsome! We don’t have anything like that around here. We get a lot of skunks, rabbits, and deer.
Holy cat! You get some interesting visitors in your yard. Maybe the racoons wanted to take a swim. And that Bobcat is scary!
Those raccoons are too cute!!! Have you seen the new Geico commercial where the raccoons are “chatting” over their garbage find? It’s hysterical.
We have raccoons here too but we don’t have any bobcats that we know of. It’s pretty cool to see one but so glad you haven’t run into him in the daytime! We know your human would never let you be hurt in any way. Never ever.
We have never seen a bobcat. How interesting it was.
We do get the raccoons, and we loved the glowing eyes 🙂
Made mum laugh!

It was funny to see those shining eyes! That bobcat was big!
OMC! That bobcat is really beautiful and scary. We have heard about bobcats roaming in CA but never saw actual footage. Those raccoons were so funny. Loved how their eyes glowed. Totally awesome footage. Stay safe! Purrs
We love your visitors Summer. We used to get Raccoons in our back yard too — not often, but maybe once or twice a year. M and D didn’t like it very much because they would damage the bird feeders (stupid humans shouldn’t have put out bird feeders anyway because that’s why the raccoons were there – looking for food. Now we’ve never seen a bobcat around here. It is so good you stay in the house at night and never go off your leash – you would become history, and we’d be extremely sad.
Ahhh, well that was a bit scary!! Be careful darling!
And I cannot get over how adorable you are and those eyes are absolutely gorgeous!
Wow, you have amazing visitors in your area ! Purrs
The video was dark, but I could see 3 sets of eyes. That is scary to have a bobcat in your yard, I am glad you only go outside supervised.
A bobcat????? That’s scary!
Happy Thanksgiving!
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH MY BOBCATS….THAT WAS AMAZING. I HAD NO IDEA THEY WERE IN THE CITY.
I bet the domesticated kitties have lots of smells when they go out in to the great out of doors
Hugs madi your bfff
Those raccoon eyes! MOL! But that bobcat, whoa! She’s looking for something to eat and Summer, we’re extra glad now you’re an inside kitty!
That Bobcat would make me move instantly! Oh wait!!! You ARE!!!
You do have lots of critters there Summer. We did see the raccoon’s eyes. That Bob cat is a big one. Don’t want to mess with that one.
Raccoons and bobcats! Those eyes were so funny 🙂
In London we have a few cats around at night and also some urban foxes. I’m always indoors asleep with Mum but we hear them sometimes in our back garden. The foxes are very hungry. Mum says they were chased out of the countryside by nasty fox hunters so have made their homes in the city.

Wow, you have bobcat out there! How cool, but it sure is good idea to stay inside during the night 🙂
Thanks for sharing. Glad you were inside and safe when they came to visit.
BIG KITTY!!! <3 I am glad you stay safe inside at night. It is better to view the outside critters from behind glass.
OMC, Summer, that is quite exiting. We have a raccoon that gets on the catio almost every night, which is why we always must be inside before it gets dark out. Wow, a bobcat! That was a pretty cool catch. It seems as if wildlife is in most of our cities as we continue to encroach on their territories. My goodness sweet Summer, you sure have some interesting visitors. Inside is sure a safe place to be!
We didn’t know there was a bobcat about – we would have liked to have watched him but he climbed the steps and disappeared.
WOW!! We don’t get those here!! They look fierce!! I am glad you were inside, Summer!! xx
I did not know that was a bobcat! Of course you don’t go out at night, and certainly never by yourself, why would even want to? Stay safe!
We don’t have bobcats or raccoons where I live. You mom is right in not letting you out at night Summer!
It was fascinating seeing that big kitty. We’re very glad you were tucked up safely inside at night.
That Bobcat is cool! We couldn’t see the raccoon video. The screen stayed black, although we could hear your human. We tried on YouTube too and got the same result. Strange!
