We cats really are amazing creatures. Cats have many spectacular talents that humans can only wish for. We could put any Marvel super hero to shame with our superior capabilities.
I’m sure you already know about our fantastic hearing (our ears are literally living satellite dishes), sense of smell (14 times better than a human’s), and our ability to jump up to nine times our height (the highest standing jump by a human was about one time’s his height). So let’s look at 10 of our more unusual superpowers. I bet you will be even more amazed!
- Cats have inner alarm clocks, unlike humans (who need help from cats to wake up).
- Most cats figure out how to use cat litter on their own!
- We can touch our nose with our tongue!
- The ability to get our humans’ attention with the least amount of effort possible. Jumping on the counter? Check. Knocking something random off a tabletop? Check.
- Our amazing sense of impending veterinary visits, coupled with our ability to always have one hiding space that humans can never figure out.
- The ability to be cute no matter what!
- Our claws have their own language. The amount of claw you feel when we whap you lets you know whether we’re warning you, commanding you, or something in between.
- The ability to communicate without any need to vocalize. When we meow at you, we are basically coming down to your level to be helpful.
- One word — purrs. It took science many decades to figure them out.
- And our greatest superpower of all — our healing energy.

oooh I love the list of superpowers of cats. All very true and it was nice having them put into words for us humans.
My girls have them all. Not great whappers thank goodness but I had a feisty calico who did along with various degrees of nipping. But she loved me and slept on my heart. Tough little cookie. Had numerous medical issues yet rallied and lived to be 20

BellaDharma does not have an Inner Alarm clock (I am lucky); Apparently I AM the Alarm clock….
She can jump VERY high which scares me to bits! Always worried she will hurt herself.
THE claw action is 150%…
And the non-verbal communication coupled with *stink eye* is amazing!
And her **purrss** are very healing….
You know BellaDharma has another super-power. So have all my other cats: She & they KNEW when I would be returning home. It’s like Mingflower, NYLABLUE, Purrince Siddhartha & BellaDharma had telepathy….been greeted at my door for 36 years between these 4 Kitties 🙂

I agree with all of these cat abilities. I have seen these abilities
at work so, yes . The one about impending vet visits and secret
hiding spot was proved, again, in our family just yesterday.
We reply about TBT to those.
1. He wakes up in the middle of the night and knows the time within 15 minutes.
2. Well that took him a few years.
3. So can he.
9. He can actually purr.
