It’s been one of those strange weeks around the internet! Where do these reporter humans come up with these things? It just shows that we cat bloggers have much more useful information.
I mean, really:
- You know how humans are always thinking that we cats can see things they can’t? Well, according to this study, they are right!
- Do you live in a cat state or a dog state? This handy graphic will tell you — and there’s one for countries too! I hope you do not have to move.
- My human has been really annoyed by the “Women Against Feminism” Tumblr, for a lot of reasons that don’t concern cats — but some kitties have come to her rescue and made fun of these misguided women!
- Have you ever considered fostering a cat or kittens? Crepes’ human offers some suggestions on how to determine whether you are cat foster material!
- And if you have ever wondered about caring for a feral colony, the Playful Kitty blog has some things you need to know!
The week on my blog was pretty random, but mostly fun!
- I revealed a secret that my human has been hiding from my readers — and what she did to fix it!
- I am having a cat toy giveaway! Enter before Monday, August 4 if you want a chance to win!
- In my monthly advice column, a cat asks me if the new tortie kitten who joined his family is broken. I have bad news for him….
- I love my slicker brush, and I show you just how much in this blog post!
- All three of us cats had to go to the vet together! It was nothing serious, but find out what happened… and see some photos of Binga sporting a stylish bandage!
- And lastly, I featured some of my favorite Facebook posts from the past few weeks.
That’s it for this week’s Caturday Report! If you see a good news item around the internet, send me a link and I may include it next week!
Great report, Sparkle! We enjoyed the article about cats being able to see things humans can’t – very interesting!! We also learned that we live in a dog state — icky!!! Thanks for the weekly summary. We had missed a few things!
You’ve had a busy week Sparkle!
Very interesting information! By the way, do you know how our human would go about putting our picture on your blog website? We have tried everything. Anyone have a solution? Many meowy thanks!
we enjoy our daily dose of sparkle on facebook 🙂
Mommy thinks she’s seen UV lights a few times…or maybe that was just the nip…
We loved the confused cats!
I gotta read that piece about the feral colonies. Now that UCNJFCC has it’s nonprofit status and it’s own trailer, they want to fix a colony every month around here.
I am furry relieved that we live in a kitty-majority state, Sparkle. I would not like to think the woofies outnumber us.
Thanks for the news roundup, Sparkle. We missed some of those stories so we’ve got some catching up to do.
Great week-end update! Really cool about cats seeing extra patterns! Have a great week-end!
Marty

I am happy to sasy that I don’t have to move- I live in the #1 state for cats- Massachusetts 🙂
Great report ! What a busy week ! Purrs
SPARKLE YOU HAVE HAD A VERY BUSY WEEK…DID YOU REMEMBER TO EAT AND TAKE A NAP?
HUGS MADI YOUR BFFF
We see we cats outnumber dogs in the UK by 8.9 million to the dogs 8.8 million. That will be something to tell the little barking pug from 2 doors away to make him stop and think!
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Sparkle as always you have your paw on the pulse of the cat world.
Great report… The cats’ seeing invisible things article was informative.
Some very interesting stuff this week, Sparkle, especially the caring for feral cats. We were surprised to find out that we live in a Cat State. Yippee! Cats Rule! XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
We enjoyed the links today 🙂
Lots of interesting and informative information.
Georgia is our Tortie and she is the most good natured,
friendly, passive kitty. She does have a quiet determination
when she wants something though 🙂

Fab update Sparkle,xx Speedy
Thank you Sparkle. I went to Crepe’s page and I am more convince than ever that me, mom, would be unable to give ANYone up. 🙂 That would not be good. xo
Katie I couldn’t foster either for the same reason – I would soon have a house full of cats! I do appreciate those who do though…
Bravo Sparkle, you do a great just keeping us tuned in to the good stuff!
I enjoyed those articles. Looks like I live in slightly more dog-loving state (GA) and my home country (Japan) is also more dog-loving.
Great report Sparkle. Lots of interesting things. We will have to check them all out. Have a great day.
This is a cool idea. We like this summary because sometimes we are too busy to visit every day but can catch up with one stop on Caterday. Thanks, Sparkle.
Thank you for the update!
