I was a little bit surprised by the results from Monday’s poll about the Blog Idea Generator. For the longest time, the one that wound up in first place was tied with the one that ended up third. In case you are wondering how it all shook out, here you go:
Which Blog Topic Should I Write About?
- The Ultimate Cheat Sheet on Cat Behavior (32%, 30 Votes)
- 14 Common Misconceptions About Cats (23%, 22 Votes)
- 7 Things About Cats Your Boss Wants You to Know (22%, 21 Votes)
- 5 Tools Everyone in the Cat Toys Industry Should Be Using (14%, 13 Votes)
- 10 Quick Tips About Cat Toys (9%, 9 Votes)
Total Voters: 95
As you can see, The Ultimate Cheat Sheet on Cat Behavior got the most votes. It’s actually a complex topic and I wanted to spend some time on it, so you’ll see it next week. For now, I thought I would share my thoughts about the losers.
14 Common Misconceptions About Cats
One of my commenters, Cathy Keisha, noted that I had written about some of the topics listed already, and this was certainly one of them. I’m kind of glad that this one didn’t win, because I would have been wracking my brain trying to find misconceptions about cats that I hadn’t mentioned already. And 14 is a lot!
7 Things About Cats Your Boss Wants You to Know
I was kind of worried this one was going to get the most votes, and for a while there, it looked like it might! Because, really, I have no idea what your boss wants you to know about cats. For all I know, your boss may not even like cats! And besides, your cat is your boss anyhow, not your work boss. And I think most of you already know that.
5 Tools Everyone in the Cat Toys Industry Should Be Using
I liked this idea, because most people (and kitties) don’t give much thought to the fact that there is a cat toy industry, and it could always be improved! I could have thought up all sorts of cool ideas, and possibly even created a few new cat toy ideas. Oh well.
10 Quick Tips About Cat Toys
I’m kind of bummed that this idea came in last because it was my favorite topic. I could have divided it into two groups of five: five cat toy tips for humans, and five cat toy tips for cats. And humans especially could always use a few new cat toy tips. Like maybe Number One could be: schedule time every day to pick up a cat toy and play with your cat. Because I know some humans (cough, cough, mine) who seem to have a problem doing that.
So what do you think? Are you excited to see my cat behavior cheat sheet?
