Today I have to put on my serious face.
That’s because today is LiveStrong Day, during which we remember those who have suffered from cancer, and those who succumbed to this scourge. It is a day in which we show our support to those who are currently struggling with cancer, and stand behind those who are working on a cure.
All of us know many humans and kitties who we have lost to cancer, and I think just as important as finding a cure, is finding the cause and keeping that out of our lives too. The more we can do to make our bodies inhospitable to cancer, the more likely we will be to keep it out! So our mission needs to be two-fold: keep toxins (like smoking and bad chemicals) out of our bodies while living healthy lives – Live Strong – AND find a way to eradicate cancer if it takes hold.
I hope one day no more tears will be shed over this disease.

We honour those who have survived cancer, and remember with sadness those who didn’t.
I didn’t see this post yesterday but it is really well put. Livestrong forever.
Thank you from our hearts for supporting LIVESTRONG day by doing a lLIVESTRONG post..
Blessings to all those who are currently fighting cancer, are cancer survivors, or who have lost their lives to this terrible disease.
LIVESTRONG always.
Love from Milo and Alfie, Mom-Jan and Dad xxxx
It was an amazing day with all the Livestrong posts. You are so right, too, Sparkle: people do need to be responsible for treating their bodies well. Smoking and other habits that help to cause cancer can be modified if people listen to the warnings. Mom’s mother had lung cancer, and in the days when she started to smoke, nobody knew it could cause cancer, but now it is well-known, yet still people start the habit. Then they are hooked.
Purrs to all who have lost loved ones, or are survivors, whether they are still battling or not.
Purrs that they find ways to discover it faster and help people and furries survive it.
Good points and well said, Sparkle. We need to Live Strong today and everyday. Purrs-
