It’s been a long time since Binga has had a Tortie Tuesday, so I thought I would let her have Livestrong Day. It has been a very rough year around the Cat Blogosphere — we have lost so many of our friends to cancer, from Zoolatry’s Poppy Vic, Lilly Lu, Pinky from the Rock-Cats (who died of breast cancer — yes, kitties can get that too), and my human’s boyfriend’s father died of cancer this past Thursday. And as I write this, SASS’s Judi is in hospice and Dash Kitten just let us know that Little ‘Un may have bone cancer. The list goes on.
So it is good today that we have the opportunity to join our paws in support of those who lives have been affected by cancer, and send purrs to those who are in treatment. Someday there will be a cure.
We too hope this someday will soon be here.
((purrs))
Well said – we agree completely. Please tell B how very sorry we are for his loss….
We’re sorry for your human’s boyfriend’s recent loss. We hope one day cancer doesn’t take any more loved ones from us ever. That is a beautiful photo of Binga!

Hello Sweet Furiends, We are sending love and purrs and strength to those who are mourning a loss and to those who are bravely battling. May they all prevail! XOXOXO
Better less invasive treatments would be pawsome too! But best of all would be a cancer free world.
That’s a lovely and special tribute, dear friends.
We look forward to the day when “cancer†is just a word for something that used to exist. We join you Living Strong today, and every day.
We purr for a cure! Livestrong!!
Awww Sparkle and family, I’m so sorry for mewz recent loss. Mewz post is beautiful and so well written, this has been a hard year for my family too. My human great Grandmeowmy passed away from cancer in May and my fur sister ÄŒerny went to the Bridge in July after a brave battle with cancer. I miss her everyday and so wish there had been a cure for her. I know that someday there will be though and when I see her again she won’t be sick, for she is healthy and forever free at the Bridge. I salute and hold my paw in the air to all those out there who are fighting their own battle, and hope they will win. LIVESTRONG!! Mewmew!
PS- Hi Binga! *waves paw* Mew are a stunning tortie lady cat! I am a fellow tortie- a dilute tortie, where my furs are blue, peach, and white. We are refined, intelligent lady cats who deserve to have everyday of the week, not just Tuesdays! Mewmew!
We are sad that there are so many furred and non furred dealing with this dreadful diagnosis.
We purr for them and their families.

Instead of looking if there is water on planet Mars they should spent the money to find a medication for healing cancer ! I just had a friend who died at 55 of lung cancer. It’s the same all over the world ! Humans and animals equal.
