Cat Toy… Or Human Training Tool?

August 12, 2010 By: Sparkle Cat19 Comments

I recently got this box in the mail. I liked the looks of this one because it was clearly a cat toy sent to me for testing!

It's always a good day when a cat toy arrives on my doorstep!

And of course I was right! It was a couple of Play-n-Squeak Bounce-n-Pounce wands! Binga and I were all over them immediately.

EVERYBODY wants to be a cat toy tester!

I already have a Play-n-Squeak mouse, which is fun because it makes noise! And the mice at the end of these wands are squeaky too — I could see from the plastic tab attached at the end.

Wouldn't it be neat if everything had a pull tab?

Binga immediately took over… sort of the same way she seems to have taken over my birthday gift.

I think she is trying to find a way to DE-activate the toy!

Boodie enjoyed the toy too.

I think she believes it's really alive.

In fact she spent longer playing with it than either Binga or I.

She wore herself out so she had to continue playing lying down.

My human even got some video of her with the Bounce-n-Pounce wand. Note towards the end that she did not want to let go of it.

Now here’s the really good news! Remember my contest, where the winner gets a copy of my new book? Remember how I said that the winner gets a bonus prize? Well, the bonus prize is the second Play-n-Squeak Bounce-n-Pounce wand! Not only is it a fun toy, but it is also a great human training tool — it encourages your human to play with you more — so it fits right in with my book of cat-to-cat advice! So if you haven’t entered my contest yet, go there right now and find out the details!

This combination of toy and human training tool could be yours, along with my book!

Is it wrong that I want to stick my face in her belly floof, and if I were to suffocate that way, I’d die a happy woman?

Oh my Bast. That is a glorious toy. What is nice is my bean can sit on her lazy butt on the couch and still play with me. Can you believe she put all my glorious soft bitey mice away cause she was afraid that blurpy boy would put them in his mouth?!? I am so depressed about it.
I am green with envy over your cool new toy. Maybe I’ll win one in your contest. If not, maybe my mommy will buy one for me to make up for going on vacation next month

It looks like a good way to keep the humans in line. Watch out though. They’re sometimes kind of tricky.

Looks like another great toy! You kitties are so lucky to be able to test them all out! Boodie’s doing a great job playing with it. I think holding on to it like that is a dominance move — just to let the human know kitty actually has the control. But ultimately, it’s no fun just to hold onto it, so they release it to be flung yet again.

Wow that looks like a very fun toy – we think it sounds awesome that it is a wand toy and that it squeaks – we haven’t heard of one that combined both before!

But he loves chace toys! And sence Cheetoes’s favorate toy was the squeaky mouse and Snowball LOVES chace toys,it’s a match made in heaven! We already entered so we hope we will win!

Allegra loves this toy – it’s one of her favorites. And as a human, I really love that it requires a human to play with – more fun for cat and human.
