My human likes to have some photos of me on reserve for blog posts that are more informational and not as focused on pictures. The lighting coming through the window was nice and even kind of dramatic, so she quickly had me pose for her.
She kept moving me around, looking for the best combination of lighting and background, when I took matters into my own paws and went over to this table sitting by the window. Interesting story about this table: my human inherited it from her grandmother. She doesn’t know how old it is, but it’s probably over 70 years old.
Of course I had to look out the window first. I thought combining window watching and posing was a smart move, since I enjoy doing both.
My human used the window light for some portraits, and longer shots too. A few she thought might even be calendar worthy.
Here’s one of the closer ones, right before I went back to window watching.
What do you think? Do these look calendar worthy to you too?

Gorgeous pictures, Summer!
You never take a photo that isn’t calendar worthy, Summer. I especially like the one with your paws on the table. I can’t say exactly why, but I find it hauntingly pretty.

TBT here: Sometimes we forget that not all pics have to be in bright light. Bright pictures are nice for detail, but sometimes shadows add depth and mystery. And what are cats if not “mystery”?
Lovely pictures…
Oh Summer the first one where you have your paws on the window sill is outstanding They’re all lovely but that one rocks
These are very good. I can see them being used in a
book. (I did see the fence.). Photos 2 and 3 especially
in a story.

I think every photo of you in every post is calendar worthy. XO

The second photo is the best!
That first pose of you sitting at the table, looking out of the window (second one down) with the chiaroscuro effect, is magnificent.
