Can you believe how fast summer is going? Before you know it, it’ll be time to go back to school! I’m ready, with my cute new backpack (I actually have three backpacks, but that’s for another blog post). At least, I think I’m ready, but I’d better see what’s in my backpack first!
Well, I’m not so sure about these things! They seem like they are a little dated.
Here is a closer look, and we can go over them one by one.
#1. My lunch and bus money. Fifty cents! I mean, really? I can’t even buy cat treats with that. And fares here are $1.75, so even with a student discount I’ll be walking to and from school. My human was going to give me a Metro card, but it wouldn’t fit in the tiny backpack.
#2. My house key. At least this I need! Because we live in the city, the door is always locked, even when people are home.
#3. A tiny cat light. Well, I don’t know if I’ll need that, since I’m not allowed out after dark.
It does work, though!
#4. A USB drive. Like, a really, really old USB drive.
For one thing, I bet it doesn’t have enough memory to carry important things like photos and videos of me. For another thing, it doesn’t even work with my human’s Macbook anymore without an adapter.
#5. Post-It notes. But no pen to write on them.
#6. A Hello Kitty phone from the ’00s.
Seriously? This is a flip phone! It’s older than I am. It needs a new battery. Better yet, my human needs to go to the mall and get me a new phone altogether. A real one would be appreciated.
The contents of my backpack sorely need to be updated!
So what do you guys think? What should I be putting in my backpack? It’s been several decades since my human walked into a school so she is clearly out of touch! Leave me any suggestions in the comments.
