As you may remember, I had my health screening and check up at the vet clinic this past week. But I just shared about it briefly so I thought I’d show you some more photos today. The clinic has a store in half of the waiting room. If there are no dogs (like the afternoon I was there), I get to explore it.
Here is something interesting: my human uses a different carrier and harness for when I go for a vet check up. That’s because she doesn’t want me to associate my harness or any of my other carriers with negative things. The harness changes but the carrier is constant. Actually, it is the carrier that human brought home Sparkle in! That was back in 2002, so this carrier is very old.
Eventually some dogs did show up for appointments, so my human made me sit back with her until we were called.
Finally we got called in. This is the part I don’t like because I hate having my temperature taken. My human says that out of all the cats she’s had, I dislike it the most. So this is the most un-fun part. At least I am a couple of ounces down from normal —6.6 lbs. instead of 6.8. So my human says that means I can have more treats.
We had to wait for a few minutes between the tech and the vet, so I decided that was as good a time as any to take a selfie.
As you can see, it’s pretty basic.
Actually, once the vet showed up, I was in a much better mood because I knew the worst stuff was behind me. I mean, she messed with me and looked in my mouth and stuff, but that’s no big deal. And the cool thing about her is that she also has a therapy cat! Right now they just go to nursing homes, but she is hoping to find a hospital that will let them come. She is with one of the national organizations instead of a local one, like the one my human and I belong to. So it is a little more difficult to find hospitals. I hope she has better luck soon!
