A package came in the mail, addressed to my human. She insisted, however, that it was really for me — and sure enough, it was a brand new toy from Casbah Kitten! Their cat toys are made from eco felt and organic catnip, and tested out by resident kitties Jane and Alice, who often blog about their findings. A couple of weeks ago they generously offered to send toys out to a select few kitties for testing, and I got to be one of them! Even so, I had to look inside the bag to see if there was anything there for my human. Nope. Just a note saying that this new toy will probably be available in the Casbah Kitten Esty store on June 15.
The toy is a pig — with wings! Here is his face:
And in case you were wondering — yes, they remembered to add the curly tail:
Binga, of course, had to see if it met with her exacting standards.
Then she made sure it could take a licking.
Yes, she decided it definitely could take a licking.
I thought for sure Boodie would like it, since she is such a nip fiend, but she seemed to have her doubts.
Considering how she behaves at dinnertime, maybe she thought the toy was a joke on her.
My human wasn’t sure if I was going to like it because I usually play with little toys I can toss in the air and use as hockey pucks. Plus I’m generally not that big a nip head. But I think they put some sort of special kind of catnip in this toy because it resonated with me more than it did with the other cats.
Next thing she knew, I was on the floor, licking it, kicking it and claiming it as my own!
I also found a new game to play with it that’s even better than hockey — soccer! It’s really lightweight so I get a lot of action from it. My human wanted to get a video of me kicking it around the room, but unfortunately my favorite time to do this is around midnight, when it’s too dark for video. But anyway, I love this new toy and it is now one of my favorites! So the flying pig passed my toy testing with flying colors!
They make the cutest toys!!
That looks like a most excellent toy. I have a Supa Kitteh from Casbah Kitten and I love it to death.
We need a flying pig!!!
That is a beautiful toy!!! I can clearly see you will love it Sparkle!
We have a long shopping list…New toys now, Mewmie! We want pigs to fly, too!
That looks like quite a fine toy. We’ve got some pawsome nip hamsters from Cat Faeries. Very potent, primo nip too.
That is a great looking pig. Sparkle, it looks like you are really enjoying it a lot. We might have to get one of those. It sure is cute with that curly tail too.
Hope you have a wonderful day.
I’d like that for myself because I think flying pigs are so cute but I’m betting my 3 kitties would find a way to take it away from me…boogers that they are
Well, we are counting the days to June 15! The piggy looks like a ton of fun!
What a fun toy to test. Congratulations, you all did a great toy test.
How fun! We love the tail!
That little pig is very cute! We wondered, does it taste like ham?
Sniffie and the Florida Furkids
That flying pig is cute and you really put it to the test! We love Casbah Kitten toys too and agree they put something in that Kentucky cat nip that sets it apart from other nip!
Well Sparkle, if you ever said, “I’ll like catnip when pigs fly,” someone must have heard you. Good thing they put wings on that pig!
What a great new toy!! Pigs are so cute 🙂
A pink flying pig with special nip? Cute! If it had come to my place, I am sure SS would claim it to be hers.
What a cute cool toy! I am gonna have to get one of those! thanks!
That little pink piggie is adorable!
Casbah Kitten toys are the greatest!!!!
@casbahkitten I’m beginning to think that there are different strains of nip out there that affect kitties differently. ‘Cause the only two strains of nip I have ever reacted this strongly to are yours and the Pawbreakers nip. Nearly everything else I sniff, but am not impressed by.
P.S. I think my human figured out the bouncing off the wall thing. It is very lightweight. This toy has SO much play in it!
Yay! You all liked the pig! Thanks SO much for testing it for us. Oh, and tell your human that she can bounce it safely off walls or windows. Jane likes Momma to bounce hers off the wall and she leaps up and tackles it.
