Binga had her dental surgery, and the vet asked if I wanted photos for my blog. You bet I did! So now all you kitties can see what you look like when you are having your dentals done… and be glad that no one is recording it for posterity.
Here she is, out like a light. I don’t know what that human is holding — and I don’t think I want to know!
Here are her teeth in the middle of being cleaned. Note that the bad tooth on the bottom has been extracted and her gums stitched. The stitches will dissolve on their own.
Look at those pearly whites! All clean and ready for action. Well, as soon as the anesthesia wears off.
Waking up from anesthesia and wondering what just happened. Just for the record, she came home later that day, took off the IV bandage herself and demanded dinner, which she didn’t get right away because the clinic told us to wait a couple of hours. In other words, she was back to normal way too soon!
oh noes, THAT’S what I looked like? AHHHHHHHHHH, mine tongue hanging out!!! it’s a good thing I pee on the v-e-t-s. – Miles
Wow, that looks skerry! Now I hope I never have to go through that. But it was still quite interesting. I’m glad Binga is already feeling better.
Glad you’re doing so well Binga! Purrs you’re all better soon!
Poor Binga! I hope you ARE takin’ good care of her Ms. Sparkle! Good she demanded some chow to chomp. Tommy just wanted to scoop her up–the look on the Binga’s face, she says. Hope Binga is all her bell of the ball self soon!

Oh, poor Binga!! I hope she feels better. Teeth cleaning is no fun.
Binga
We are so glad you are OK!
Wow it is good we don’t have to see this or we would faint.

We hope Binga’s eating well and being her normal self! (And we’re trying to comment from home, now that the mom is back.)
Thank Binga for being the poster kitty for good dental health. It’s easy to forget cats need dental care as much as humans. Will share on FB.
Binga tortitudeness came back quickly. The blanket matches Binga tortie colors does your V-E-T have a multitude of blankets that match each different cats fur.
Poor Binga 🙁 Glad to hear she’s feeling better, that looks like some painful surgery! But the pictures are really interesting, thanks for showing them! 🙂
Thank goodness Binga came through with such ease, maybe that’s that “tortitude”. This may be what Clooney is going through right now…no news yet…
Wow, those are some scary pictures! We sure are glad everything went well, though, and that Binga was back to normal (though a little too soon for your tastes, Sparkle!).
Skeery! So glad Binga is back to her old self so soon! Purrs to Binga fur being brave.
Poor Binga! We’re glad you felt better so soon after that scary looking procedure! You were very brave and as beautiful as always!
I’m glad your doing well Binga!!
Binga will be happier with the bad tooth out of her mouth.
Those are some pretty amazing close ups of Binga’s mouth. Wowsie!
We love you, Binga!!!!!!!!! And we’re so happy you came thru that surgery so well. Isn’t it grand that us kitties are so tough???????
Wowie! We sure hope that doesn’t happen to us. (Our Mom says she wishes all HER dental visits could be done with complete sedation).
OMC! We are gonna start brushing out teef straight away!
That was awesome! (well, maybe not for Binga…) How strange that they wrapped her in some kind of Halloween blanket. Doesn’t your vet have a current calendar? Perhaps a Sparkle the Cat calendar would be a nice gift for your vet!
Maybe you are right. They already have a copy of my book!
So glad she is home and feeling okay. DEMANDING dinner is a good sign, we figure. 🙂
Binga, we are feeling you pain but I guess you didn’t feel any pain at all through all that. Glad you were all right and now your toofies are all better. Great pictures. Brave Mom to watch all that. Sparkle, aren’t you glad that wasn’t you.
Oh Binga! Now there’s documented proof of what you went through! We hope you are back to normal now!!
Poor Binga! We’re glad she got her feistiness back right away.
That sure doesn’t look like lots of fun! I’m very happy Binga did so good with the dental though!!!
Oh Binga what an ordeal!!! It sounds like you came through the procedure with flying colours; what a relief 🙂
Ouchies….
pawhugs, Max
Poor Binga! I bet she feels better wifout that nasty tooth, though.
That’s very interesting, and we are glad se was back to normal so fast. I am a little put off by those tubes going down her throat, though.
Way to go ‘Binga. Wow – i’m very envrious of your toothies since I don’t have any anymore.
Oh oh, that’s got us all worried!
Poor Binga having to have a tooth out – ouchie. We hope her mouth wasn’t too sore she managed to eat her noms ok.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Awww, poor Binga! We sure hope we never have to go through such an ordeal! So far Dr. Jim says our teeth look good. Whew! We’re sending our purrs for a quick recovery.
OMC !!!! That’s ..So Scary !!!! I hope I never ever have to go through those torture !
Binga, I purrs for you to feel better and never ever have to know what happened to you.
It was Nightmare !!!
xoxo
I hope I never have to to go through something like that!
Argh! These pictures should have a warning to us kitties who maybe don’t want to watch major surgery. We are so glad her BInga has her tortitude in tact and let her feelings be known as soon as she was awake. We sure hope she got loads of yummy soft treats.
