Tortie-less Weruva Taste Test

November 26, 2013 By: Sparkle Cat38 Comments

We have a taste test crasher here!

What’s she doing here? I’ll never get to taste test anything with this grabby tortie around!

I'm surprised she didn't try to bite through the packages

Now that Binga has been sent downstairs, I can get down to business: trying out these Weruva Cats in the Kitchen cat food flavors. We have Pumpkin Lickin’ Chicken and Mack, Jack and Sam. Don’t worry, once I’ve had a chance to check them out, Binga will get some for dinner.

I may bite through the package!

First up is the chicken, or actually, chicken in pumpkin soup.

Tasty!

My human didn’t even get the food out and I was already licking the yummy soup!

I bet my human is envious

Here is what the food actually looks like. As you can see, I’ve already eaten some of it!

Humans, can you do this with your tongue? Thought not

This was definitely a hit with me at the beginning, although I didn’t finish the packet (which is typical for me with shredded chicken food — I tend to lick the goodness out and then if I don’t eat it all right away, it dries up really quickly). The pumpkin part is great for cats like Binga who, um, need a little fiber in their diet.

Why does the back of my head feel funny?

Next up is the Mack, Jack and Sam pouch — that’s Mackerel, Skipjack Tuna and Salmon to you! Except for salmon every so often, we don’t get much fish around here so this is a real treat!

Boodie never smacks over the food dish

Boodie and I both enjoyed it a lot! Yes, we can share the same bowl — she is much politer than certain other cats around here.

I wonder what would happen if I let Binga back up here?

Well, usually.

Both flavors got paws up from us kitties! We are fans of Weruva here because their food is manufactured in a human food facility that also makes pet food. And if you are wondering about it being made in Thailand, Weruva’s facility there actually conforms to British Retail Consortium standards, which are stricter than the standards in the U.S. That works for me! Chewy.com has lots of different Weruva flavors to choose from!

The Human thought that food looked pretty tasty, but I won’t eat anything that’s not “pate”–if it is recognizable pieces, I run away. It’s like I’m afraid it’s going to sit up and talk to me or something.

Sometimes, the Human wonders if she starved me for 24 or 36 hours, would I eat some foods that are good for me? But so far, thank Ceiling Cat, she has not had the heart to try it.

    That Boodie’s a looker, Sparkle.

That Weruva in pumpkin soup is the same as my gut rot aka Soulistic Autumn Bounty. The pumpkin soup is the best. I like my food a little crusty so I pick at the chicken. The one flavor I tried with gravy, I wouldn’t touch. Pumpkin is so healthy for us cats and the Soulistic is much cheaper even though it’s Weruva.

oh we didn’t know the British were stricter than the U.S, rules – this is good news!
We’re not sure we’d agree that Boodie was polite. Your look says it all!

Both of those look pretty good. Fiona pretty much just licks the juice out of any wet food, so she might like the chicken and pumpkin. She can have the juice and the remainder of us can try the chicken. We mostly eat ocean white white fish. Thanks for the review. That was very helpful for you to add the info about their manufacturing facility in Thailand. I have wondered about that and now I feel much better about it. Toby is allergic to chicken, but he likes the Mack and Jack flavor. Thanks Sparkle!
