The Wedding

October 10, 2010 By: Sparkle Cat33 Comments

Some friends of my human and her boyfriend are getting married today. My human has known the groom for 25 years, and her boyfriend has known him almost as long — do you realize how many kitty generations that is? They were registered at Amazon, and my human wanted to get them something nice, so she chose a Kindle. There is only one problem with that: my book is not out on Kindle! That is probably because Kindle does not have color yet, and my book has color in it. I hope Kindle gets it together soon so my book can be available on it. Anyway, I could not let them have a Kindle and not have my book, so I also am giving them a copy as a wedding gift.

Making sure the ribbon matches the wrapping paper.

Naturally, I had to pawtograph it. Donkey is their cat. There is an interesting story behind Donkey, and my human, and how Pat came to adopt her. Maybe if my human can get permission from Pat to run some photos of her here, I will tell it this week.

Of course they get a pawtograph!

Wrapping a wedding present is serious business. Here I am giving the ribbon a taste test. Not only does it have to match the wrapping paper in appearance, but also in taste!

I hope you don't think I am doing this for kicks.

I had to sign the card too.

I did not address the card to Donkey. That would not be proper.

Trust me, wrapping a wedding present is not as easy as it looks! Once it was done, I had to do another taste test to make sure everything was okay. I hope they enjoy the book… and the Kindle!

Confession: I really did not have to do that final taste test.

All that attention to detail will be hugely appreciated, Sparkle. It shows real heart. Also paw.

We write too, in Malaysia mostly, but also in Singapore and Brunei.

Yes! It is available in ebook form on Barnes and Noble – you just need to download their free Nook app, which is available for iPad. Here is the link to the digital format of my book on B&N:

Dat is because alla mom and dad’s frends is already married and most of der kids is already married. Da only ones left would be da nieces or da nefew and dey is no where near gettin’ married. Mom sez if dad just wants to dress up, eat, dance and haf fun he could always take her out…

Sparkle, is there no end to your talents? We never knew the paper and the ribbon were supposed to taste the same.
Mommy says your choice of gifts is wonderful.

pee ess: can you post what kind of ink you use for your pawtographs? Daddy has always wanted to do ours and make some art.

Mom says that she thinks a Kindle is one of the best wedding gifts she’s ever heard of…sure beats tableware or other items useless to a cat. We think they will love getting your book even more than the Kindle though…
