The Gardner Was Here

April 28, 2020 By: Summer Samba31 Comments

The gardner came, and Summer is rather critical of his work.

So the gardner showed up yesterday. After what he did to my catnip plants, you know he is not my favorite human ever. So I had to go check on things once he left.

somali cat looking at overgrown built in planters

My inspection uncovered lots of poor work!

somali cat upset by all the weeds

Look at all these weeds! I thought he was supposed to pull them up, but he didn’t. Plus my human said I couldn’t chew on them.

somali cat surrounded by poorly done gardening job

Things are growing between the cracks too. It looks terrible!

Somali cat appalled at bad gardening job

The rose garden is overgrown too. I hope they don’t get choked by all this extra greenery.

Oh, wait! What about my nip garden?

Somali cat relieved that her nip garden is still there

What a relief — it’s still there. And there is some new growth.

somali cat is still critical of job gardner did

I’m glad he didn’t mess with it any more than he messed with some of the other areas.

Whew! We are so glad to see your catnip garden still in tack. For a minute there we thought we were gonna have send in some muscle to teach him a lesson. And ugh to the weeds. He really needs to work on his work, MOL. Super great pics! Purrs

Hmm……..I’d say that Gardener of yours is getting a little LAX in his duty to keep things all trimmed up nice and neat?! At least he didn’t whack back the new growth on your nip plants……..that’s a PLUS.

    Hugs, Teddy

Phew! As long as he left your nip plants alone, he didn’t mess up THAT bad, Summer.

Did that gardener do anything?? Sheesh! Oh, he mowed the grass?? Hmmm, maybe there needs to be a new gardener. Just saying.
Petcretary tried to clean up some overgrown weedy garden areas yesterday and today…she feels it now, MOL!

Are you sure he came at all cos it doesn’t look like he did anything. Your human should NOT be pulling weeks that she’s paying him to pull. She should call him and make him return and do it right. I bet he wasn’t even wearing a mask!

Sounds like your gardner is having a difficult week. My dad-gardner is often out trimming the roses, getting rid of weeds, and tending to my catnip plants.

You look very serious in today’s pictures. You
must have been very concerned about your nip.
You are right, looks like a good crop of nip coming.
Maybe the gardener has been ill with the virus and
isn’t doing his usual thorough work? Just a guess.

Summer, I like to garden too, but I put stuff in the ground, water it for awhile, then say, “You’re on your own now!”

We should teleport TBT over for a day. He knows to be careful of ALL Nip plants. And “seems” to know the difference between weeds and flowers. Some of those weed experts just want to ask “what area do you want scraped clean”? Or worse, “sprayed”?
