My readers — meaning you — get my paw of approval today, because if you scroll down just a little and look in my right hand sidebar, you’ll see that you raised $150 for A Call 4 Paws. You have helped this group in their mission to rescue ferals and strays off the streets of New Jersey and give them a new life. This is over and above the Pettes prize money that went to Animal Advocates and Forever Home Feline Ranch (these two groups got $500 each). If I am nominated next year in any Petties categories, I promise to do something similar to help a rescue in addition to whatever goes on at the Petties. And, as always, you will have a voice in choosing who gets the donation money. I figure that if you are voting for me, you should also choose who benefits.
Now I am going to be a little bit selfish and ask for you to vote for me again — in the CBS Los Angeles Most Valuable Blogger Awards! I am one of the finalists in the Lifestyle Category. The prize isn’t that big of a deal — I think it is a $50 Amazon gift certificate or something like that — but I think it would be really cool if I beat out a bunch of human blogs! How super great that some of the green papers raised are helping New Jersey ferals! Just last week, our Property Manager called animal control (gasp!) on a couple of ferals living in the tiny strip of hedges behind our block of flats. We can only purray they were treated kindly and “s-n-r”, if not found furrever homes…*sigh*

I voted! I, too, want to thank everyone who donated to A Call 4 Paws, which is not a large organization. It’s run by a schoolteacher and her son and they rescue cats and dogs in the Hudson County area. TW and I donate to them and wish we could do more. In fact, she brought lots of stuff from Blogpaws to donate to them.
