Taxation Without Representation

March 2, 2010 By: Sparkle Cat9 Comments

I am a little miffed! My human has been hogging the desk for the past few days to do that “tax” thing that happens every year around this time. It takes up way too much space on my desk.

I'd like her to deduct this mess from my desk!

Look at this! There is no room on my dining table for my dinner. Plus it’s harder to supervise my human from a distance.

Should I add that her math skills are sorely lacking?

I hate paperwork. Paper is for playing not working!

I hear there is a Feline Wellbeing Tax Credit if you buy a cat tree!

    Sparkle,

Just do what my cat does: Take a dump, then nose dive into the pile of papers leaving skid marks all over the place. That’ll show the IRS whose boss!

I’m not a lap cat. Besides, she’s too squirmy.

Can’t you sit on her lap while she’s working, Sparkle?? That’s what my two meatloaves do! And then my legs go numb because I feel guilty moving them.

Now you make sure when mommeh’s done with the taxes, that you put your paw seal of approval on it! I know for a fact that when the IRS sees a kitty paw on a return, they know it’s correct!

Maybe they’ll spend the return on you?

Boy do we agree with you Sparkle! Taxes are no fun but they do provide plenty of paperwork to play with! Our mommy works on taxes all day, every day, all year long but way more this time of year – enough already!

We bet your mom hopes the taxes get done quickly too!

Yea the “tax” thing is not fun at all. It takes a lot of time and it’s boring. My kitties said you were so right about “paper is for playing not working.” They always come to me to remind me of that when I am at my desk. Have a purr-fect day!
