Taking Down the Tree

December 28, 2019 By: Summer Samba24 Comments

somali cat helps human take down the tree

My human decided to take down the tree early this year. Nobody else was going to see it, and she couldn’t enjoy it anymore, knowing the work it was going to take putting it away. So of course I had to help.

The older glass ornaments are among the first to get put away.

The cat ornaments also get put away early on.

Eventually everything came down and it was time to disassemble the tree.

The tree comes apart in three pieces and goes into a box upstairs in another part of the house.

Of course, there is always one rogue ornament that gets missed! Fortunately the box it goes in was at the top of the storage container. So much for this year’s holidays!

Summer, you’re so pretty YOU should be a Christmas ornament! (Or the angel on top of the tree!)

That’s nice that you help and don’t play with the balls ! Our tree still stands but all other decoration is put away in boxes. After New Year, the tree will disappear too ! Can’t see it anymore, Arthur doesn’t care and Rosie neither. She tried to play with a reindeer but gave up after two seconds !

Good job helping, Summer! Taking down the tree is quite the undertaking, and having help is great.

Very pretty ornaments. I am sorry one got broken. I broke one of my favorite kitty ones this year, a glass ball with a white kitty on it. 🙁

I think it’s kind of sad, it’s only days after Christmas. Even if no one else sees it, I will enjoy it. I put so much time into it and it makes me happy. My girls also enjoy sleeping under it

Yeah, we heard our mom mention that she too was thinking of taking our tree down too. What’s up with that! We all so love the lights and ornaments. There’s always next year. Rogue ornaments are fun! Purrs

Our tree will be here until New Years Day then it will be off to the dump, but the ornaments will stay!

You are a great help to your human, Summer. We went away for 5 days over Christmas so didn’t put up decorations, just the cards.
