So my human came home from the Cat Writers Association Conference. At first I was not going to let her back in the door because I heard she wrote a story for Dogs USA magazine, but then I found out she brought home a bunch of stuff for us. Well, that changed everything.
Her whole suitcase smelled like catnip. Binga was all over it immediately!
My human had to pull her off it so she could get it open. All us cats were amazed at what we saw!
It was a jaw-dropping assortment of goodies!
I think Binga fell in love with it all.
Mainly she fell in love with one particular catnip fish. She even got it loose from its packaging.
Now, I am a polite kitty. I always check out things carefully before deciding what to do with them.
Not Binga. She throws caution, and manners, to the winds.
My favorite toys so far are the little mice from the ASPCA.
They are lightweight and have a good amount of “play” in them.

There was a whole bunch of other stuff too, but my human decided to put it away in our kitty toy box and only bring out the new toys one by one. She said she didn’t want us to get “overwhelmed.” As if! Binga was distraught.
Anyhow, my human said she saved the best thing for me — it was a Muse Medallion award for my 2009 Wall Calendar. She said the calendar won “Best Photograph (Series)” because I was such a good model. I’m glad she gives credit where it is due!

Congratulations on your very fine medal. It looks great on you!
This is very acceptable human behavior.
Please have your human train mine – all I got the last time she went away was some ‘extra cuddles’ pffft!! I want a SUITCASE OF STUFF!!!
Your cats rock, Janiss.
My cats are beside themselves because I still haven’t unpacked! I’m not sure who will enjoy the toys more – my cats as they play or me as I watch them.
I’ve already been scoping out door and raffle prize items to request for 2010.
Happy Thanksgiving from my cats – Toby, Zubi, and Luna – to yours.

Oh, great! Dahlia was looking over my shoulder and she saw this whole entry. Now she’s not going to leave me be until I go t a CWA conference and come back with a suitcase full of cat toys and treats …
I can’t believe how much Binga looks like Amber – down to the amber-colored marking on the top of her head! Too bad I can’t post a photo here.
Amber’s favorite so far is the little catnip fish. I, too, am rationing her stuff. We humans are weird that way.
And Sparkle, congrats on your Muse Medallion!
Sparkle, after reading your note and seeing the pictures, I think my human has been holding out on me! I gotta find where she hid the nip!

WOW! Look at all that great stuff! Concatulations on your win too!
So cute…my cats got crazy and were swinging off the chandeliers. So I had to pack up everything, put it in the car, and change the bed linen.
But it will go to the local shelter, so no worries.
These photos are precious…..

Great, now the pressure’s on. My cats want a suitcase of nip and toys now, but I didn’t go to the conference. 🙁
