On Super Bowl Sunday, there is not going to be any football watching here. My human hates sports. Her boyfriend is on tour in Europe, and even if he were here, there still would not be any football watching because he hates sports too! Especially football. Nobody here even knows who is playing. Or cares. So guess what? We are going to have a party! A no-football, Super Cat Sunday party for you kitties out there who, like me, do not care about football!
Instead of football on the TV, we are going to have Cat Sitting DVDs.
So if you were wondering what to do on Sunday that does not involve football, come by here and join the fun! And those of you who are attending Super Bowl festivities… if you get bored watching those humans chase some ball around, you are welcome to come over and chase some balls around yourself!
Am I allowed to stop by during half-time? Oh wait, the Black-Eyed Peas are performing. Still, your toys look like so much fun!
We would much rather come see you then watch the silly game — it’s so boring and the humans yell at the tv — which they think is normal but then they think its silly if we pat at it. They make so little sense, you know!

We’ll be there and we’ll bring our speashel party snack we all ways make at parties. It’s called Kitty Party dish surprise. The only question is can we bring furends? =^..^= 😉 (,,,)
Oh,and could you make chickengaritas or hamcolatas?!?! Snowball LOVES chicken and Cheetoes LOVES ham. We could give you a resipy….
We love this idea! We watch the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet and record the SuperBowl and just fast forward to see the commercials.
You are so lucky! I hate football too but am going to a super bowl party 🙁
I’m down for some niptinis. Marmie and I don’t like sports either. Unless it’s gymnastics.
sounds fun, Sparkle-but I likes feetsball too… and I wants the Green Bay Packers to big home that big silver feetsball trophy! I could try to stop during a cummercial wif a feetsball wif nip! you kitties might like feetsball then 😉
Pawsome! We are not football fans here (though we do like it when our mom makes those paper footballs and “kicks” them for us to chase) so your no football party sounds like great fun, Sparkle.
Pip, Smidgen, Minnie, and Hollie
That sounds like an amazing plan! I’m not a sports fan, myself.. Count me in!
Woohoo! A partay wif balls!!! Count us in for some ball-chasing, ball-walloping, ball-chomping, etc!
Our mom likes the feetsball, but we do not. SO, we will do our best to make it to your party, Miss Sparkle! Also, you are putting on a way better party than our mom could ever DREAM of doing! We are so lucky to have you as our friend.
Love, Fuzzy and Zoe
Wow, Sparkle! What a great idea! We do not like football, here, either! Dante and Dylan will be there for sure, but Domino is off on a date with Milo this weekend.
By the way, that’s a stunning picture of you today! All we can say, is “Wow”!
We think your non-super bowl party is a great idea and will be fantastic!!!! Thanks for inviting us Sparkle, we definitely be there 🙂
Sparkles
All of us would definitely prefer to come over to your nonfootball party. WE don’t care about sports either, but oh all people, MOM LOVES football. She has that NFL package so she can wait ALL the games every Sunday. Yep she has a 4 decade love of the game.
I normally just nap in her lap….
purrin
xoxox
You are definitely a cat after my own heart and I applaud you for not giving in to the pressure of partying with the football fanatics! I love that you have tailored your “football” party to your liking so my two cats, Henry and Buster, will be there at your home on Sunday! Should they bring catnip or an appetizer, or both?
They don’t have to bring anything but themselves, but if they’d like to bring some catnip or a favorite appetizer, they certainly may!
Football will be on here but we’d much prefer to be at your party Sparkle!
I likes dis idear. mehbe I will hab ma human2 tune into to SparkleTV.
But, Sparkle…what about Animal Planet’s Kitty Halftime Show!? Angel loves to watch the kittens and their toys on the big screen!
Although, we will be watching the game. Dad is a HUGE Green Bay fan. And Angel likes watching sports on TV…especially sports where the ball is big enough to see and try to catch!
Count us in! Our Mom totally doesn’t like sports. Except maybe hockey, sometimes. And only if she can go to the games in person.
Normally I would love to stop by but I LOVE FOOTBALL! I love the Super Bowl!
Hope you have a great time at the party though…oh and I didn’t mean to barge in on you while you were using the bathroom!!! MOL!
Sparkle, we will stop in to chase some of your balls!
(Mommy, can we SAY that?)
Considering that I am a girl kitty, I think it is okay. 😉
This sounds purrrfect. We will be there, and maybe we can bring our boxfort, now that mom reinforced it after our party!
bonks Sparklie CAT!!
Yay! I love your boxfort!
Now that could be fun…
We actually don’t mind watching the humans chase a ball for a change!
I will tell the Farm cats. I am sure they will enjoy that.
Alright! Football-illiterates, don’t like the stupid ball things, here, too! You’ve got a super idea!
your party sounds like soooo much fun. But, my peeps follow the Green Bay Packers, so I know they will want to watch the game. Sigh! but at least I’ll get lap time then and can nap. If their team does poorly, I’m sure I’ll get Twitter time because M really doesn’t even like football. he he, but she figures she’d better watch this one if she wants to live in the city!!
Woohooo, that sounds like fun!
We think that’s a great idea, Sparkle. We’ll do our best to come by!
We will be watching the feetsball game…our mom says she likes to watch the commercials and doesn’t care about the game so much…but we’ll definitely come by to party!!
What a good idea Sparkle. We want the tuna julep please. We certainly will be here. Who wants to watch those crazy men line up and then just run into each other. That is just nuts. So we will be here with bells on.
Happy Feb. 1st.
Our dad watches the football that Americans call soccer, but it’s mostly on in the middle of the night so we don’t mind too much. We have never seen the game that Americans call football.
Sparkle, you have a fabulous idea! Thank COD for household where football does not reign. Srsly, can Mom come too? She allows Dad to watch, but she sure doesn’t have his enthusiasm. Some years, my folks go to a Super Bowl Party, which she enjoys for the company of the other women and the food. Hardly looks at the TV.
If your human wants to spend her time serving the cats in attendance, she is welcome to come. That is what my human is doing.
Sounds like a Super idea. Thanks. I’ll stop by.
pawhugs, Max
Sparkle you have hit on a perfect idea for Super Bowl Sunday!
We would love to come and join you on Sunday for a nipitini and some food – not to mention lots of gossip.
Sparkle – Hannah has dedicated her post to you today so pleased do come over and see her.
