Reluctant Tortie Tuesday

April 6, 2010 By: Sparkle Cat12 Comments

I’m only doing this under duress. In other words my human “strongly suggested” that I feature Binga on Tortie Tuesday “one of these years.” Even though she does something (usually more than one something) to get on my nerves every day, whether it’s stealing my dinner, commandeering my favorite cat toy or trying to slap me around. And that’s just an ordinary day. It can get worse, like the time my human took her in for a vet check up — and dragged me along for the ride (admittedly that was even more my human’s fault than Binga’s).

And people think I'M a diva - ha!

What really gets me is that the humans think she is something super cool and laugh off her bad behavior. Even worse, when other humans come to visit or do work on the house, she’s out front and center, asking for attention and getting in the way. Getting in the way is her specialty. In fact, she is The Cat Most Likely To Accidentally Be Packed For A Road Trip.

Hoping that no one will notice she's in there.

I will confess that she has her purposes. For example, it’s bad to leave my human in the office unsupervised. If no one is looking, she may goof off and do stuff like check her bank balance or write about things that don’t involve cats. It’s a lot of work for me to do on my own. So occasionally I’ll take a break and Binga will take over for a while. She’s very good at sitting on documents that might distract my human from important things, like updating my blog or ordering cat treats online.

Nope, no logging your expenses today!

I think Binga believes she not only has tortitude, she created it! Heh.

Binga looks like the best rival a cat could have.

Sparkle, it was nice of you to let Binga have your blog today for Tortie Tuesday! She’s very beautiful and smart and resourceful and… well, she’s a Tortie of course!

Good for you Binga, keep that Sparkle in line. Sounds like she needs a little bossing around. That is very nice of you to help Mom with all the paper work. Torties are the best kitties there are. Well maybe with the exception of a black kitty. All of you have a super day.

Binga is a good Snoopervisor, when you need a brake. I like her orinj arrow on her forehead (Mom says it’s a chevron; I say it’s a forehead). Da shelter thot Nina was a tortie, but da vet says she’s a tabby, so Mom says she’s a torbie, kinda.
