It finally happened. All the ornaments came down, and the Christmas tree is ready to be put away. The good news is the ornament my human broke this year (she always seems to break one when taking down the tree) was one she didn’t like that much, and that she hadn’t had for very long.
The big cardboard box with a lot of the ornaments is already put away. A lot of the others are in this bin. I’ll show you where some of the more treasured ornaments are.
They’re in the box behind me. It’s actually three layers, with the biggest ornaments on the bottom.
The smallest, and some of the more delicate ones are on the top.
The Christmas tree itself is three pieces that get pulled apart and put in a box. Everything goes into a closet until next year. While I’m sorry to see all the holiday decorations get put away, I’m glad I have room for my tunnels again!

I’m like you. I don’t touch the ornament. I just watch the peeps break them. They have dropsy. We still have our tree cos it’s growing! All the branches have new growth! Isn’t that pawsome? HAH! I saw the rip in the first pic.
I think we need an ornament box like that.
Our tree has three parts, too, Summer! And we have an ornament storage box just like that three level one. 🙂
we did not get any decorations this year 🙁 we like your fish ornament too. enjoy your tunnel time!

The saddest day of the year is the day the Christmas tree comes down 🙁 My ornaments are in 2 large Chewy boxes. (And I wonder why a few break each year.)
Our decorations came down on Twelfth Night. It always looks very bare when everything is put away again.
We’re glad the only accident was an ornament that wasn’t a favorite.

I love that ornament box, and your human’s hardwood floor is GORGEOUS!!
My cats were happy to get their tunnels back too. 🙂
Our tree is 3 parts too! It was new this year and it was hard to get it back in the box. We are glad you get your tunnels back! Have a wonderfully happy day!
Its always kind of bare around here when all the festive things get put away…but then of course they are that much more special when they arrive back in view the next time!
You did a great job of ‘snoopervising’ your human’s work, Summer!
That’s a lot of work sweet Summer but hooray for tunnel time!
We hope our mom buys a new tree for next year, we missed one this year. All of our stuff is in storage, and our mom says it’s WAY in the back on the bottom. That’s a lot of work to get it out. MOL
Summer, The Hubby and I have never put up a tree, however at my office, we’d have one in each lobby.
Instead of ornaments, we hang pieces of the automotive parts that we manufacture, and they come in many colors!
Sadly, no one was in the offices this holiday; hopefully we’ll be there at the end of this year.
Christmas is only 11.5 months away 😉
It’s that time again. But, before you know it….it will be
time to get the tree back out again – seems like. I’m glad
it’s over this year – didn’t seem as festive anyway.
Our Christmas stuff has been gone for a while now…..I really miss lying under the tree for my naps though!
Hugs, Teddy
That’s a very nice ornament holder, Summer! Our tree came down a couple of days ago, and #1 finally put eveyrthing away yesterday. Since it was a natural tree, it ended up at the back of the garden.
