A copy of my 2012 wall calendar just arrived and I need to check it out. It has to be perfect, or I will make my human pull it off the market.
Luckily, I only requested a couple of corrections. Some of the text color on the cover needed to be brightened, and the drop shadow modified. And on one month, my face needed to be lightened just a bit.
If you are wondering why Boodie is here, it is not because she is helping me. She thinks she is training to do quality control, but she is really just getting in the way. She does not have an eye for detail, and you need that to do this job.
My calendars have won awards for the past three years from the Cat Writers Association. My 2009 and 2010 calendars won Muse Medallions for the photography, which is the highest award they can give out. My 2011 calendar has earned a Certificate of Excellence so far — that means it qualifies to be entered for this year’s Muse Medallion, which will be given out at the Cat Writers Conference in November. The competition this year is tough — I don’t know if I will make it three years in a row. But I think my 2012 calendar is my prettiest yet! My human gave my photographs stunning artistic layouts. Some of them will surprise you!
So I was all set to announce that the calendar was up on my CafePress store when I found out that on Zazzle, you can print on the back cover page! The calendars cost a little more, but it is worth it! Especially since I put my Credo on the back cover! So now you can buy my 2012 wall calendar on Zazzle — and I am also selling a smaller version, which is 7″x11″ opened up!
We are keeping the prototype for our own wall, but the calendar you can buy is even more awesome!
