Photo Hunt: Spotted

January 30, 2010 By: Sparkle Cat25 Comments

Ah! I’ve spotted one of my friends in the Cat Blogosphere!

It's Willow! I loved your cat treat recipe!

We cats are actually in charge of the internet. There isn’t a revolution going on — it already happened and we won. Not only are thousands of cats blogging on the internet every day, we are a powerful force. I am not kidding. Do you know about a site called Alexa? It helps measure the popularity and reach of the websites and blogs across the internet. Popular cat blogger Daisy the Curly Cat has a higher Alexa ranking in the United States then the Nine Inch Nails website. From February through November of 2009, Romeo the Cat raised over $30,000 for charity. On Twitter, there’s Sockington, who has over 1.5 million followers. You humans didn’t even know the internet was up for the taking, so we just jumped in and commandeered it. We’re good like that.

I hate to say it, humans, but the LOL is on YOU!

Hooray for cats! I am amazed that my tiny 1/4 inch nails can beat real long NINE inch nails! It will not be long now until total world domination is achieved.

Certainly another interesting theme with lots of different takes. I’m glad I came and saw yours. Until now I didn’t think cats cared that much.

    Thanks for visiting my blog.

That is really exciting that Daisy is so high up in the Alexa. And we cats do rule. Just look at how many cat blogs there are and they are all wonderful. Great picture of you watching a spotted friend on the puter.

    Dear Sparkle,
Great take on the theme “Spotted”. Unfortunately I cannot play today as I am sitting at the University Library for only a short time today. I am not online right now. My modem broke and I won’t get it back until afteer February 4th.
I think I need your advise about fundraising. Sara Cat & I would like to help the cat shelter that burned down in Sweden.
    Best wishes,
    Anna and SaraKatt
