This week’s Photo Hunt theme was hard for me because we don’t have a lot of stuff here that went with it. I had to dig deep into my toy box to come up with something that I thought worked. Can you see the spiral on the plastic ball? I’ll show it to you close up.
I usually don’t like the plastic toys. I prefer the toys you can throw in the air and kill like real, live prey. But I actually like this particular toy.
There’s a special reason why I like this toy, but it has nothing to do with the spiral part. Can you see what it is?
You probably can’t see it that well, so I’ll give you a close up again:
Okay, I’m done now. ‘Bye.
aloha,
this is my first time visiting this new photohunt site, i love your interpretation and i’m inpired to join also, i enjoyed your take of the weekly challenge and seeing the spiral toys.
Have a great weekend.
The toy is full of mousy goodness. That must be fun for any good cat.
That looks like a fun toy, Sparkle. My kitties are really into the feathers on a long pole thingy. Criminy, I haven’t seen Grace run in 11 years–and she’s 12 now!! It’s hard to find a good cat toy, isn’t it?
Cute!
That’s a great little spiral toy! We can certainly see why you like it especially with the mousie inside!
That is one good looking toy. The mousie inside is definitely the best part. You look so beautiful in your photos :). xoxo Have a wonderful weekend!
Definitely found a good spiral on that toy.
My tabby would go nuts for that toy!
I played too … please come check it out.
We see why you like that toy, the cute mousie inside that just needs to be captured. That was a great photo hunt. You did it well Sparkle. I don’t think we could have come up with anything. Have a great week end.
We headed to the toy box for this theme too. Good choice.
Sniffie and the Florida Furkids

Dear Sparkle,
You have asked a very good question about the spiral sculpture:
“I would like to know why it took the artist 7 years to make it – it took him as long as I am old!”
This has to do with how you measure time. Cats live quickly and get to the essentials because they don’t have that much time in which to live. Humans live longer length of time than cats, which makes them either very lazy or very ambitious and patient. My guess is that it took Mr. Jones seven years because he probably did a whole lot of sketches and models of scuptures that no one ever sees. Then when it comes to big projects, such as monuments, humans have to work together to make it. We don’t know if he welded it together all by himself or if he had some other humans that helped him. It seems that there was some argument about the sculpture when it was first presented – not everyone was pleased with it – which happens alot with human art. Humans have trouble making decisions together. (That way, humans are actually not much better than cats.)
Cats on the other hand are economical creatures. Cats don’t waste time or energy. A really good cat will allways get to the point very fast.
By that definition, Sparkle´, you are indeed a very good cat!
Happy Weekend!
Anna
Can we come over to play? We want that mouse! LOL!
you must have enjoyed playing with it!
Dear Sparkle,
I am really impressed with the way that you solved this challenge! I was wondering if you were even going to try. I understand why you like this particular toy. You are indeed a mouser. Sigh. So are all three of miy felines. It is your nature.
Sara sends her love. She couldn’t come up with anything that looked like a spiral for this meme. Expect for the telephone cord, but that’s not really a cat toy, is it? I think she needs a little encouragement. maybe next time.
Thank you for stopping by and commenting on my ph-post about the spiral sculpture.
Happy Weekend!
Anna

That’s a great toy, and perfect for the theme, too.
