This is so unoriginal… like every other feline participant in today’s Photo Hunt, I am illustrating the theme Ripple with the rippling water from a drinking fountain. This is actually my first one, in 2004 — we have been through a bunch! They keep dying, mainly because the dog drinks them dry and the motor gets ruined.
And here is my latest water fountain, which I got for Christmas… and which still has not been assembled yet! My human is determined to put it somewhere where the dog won’t use it (the dog can have her water the old school way — it’s less expensive). But she still has not figured out the right spot. Can you tell how annoyed I am that she is taking so long?
We wish we still had our fountain. The last words we heard were, “Water all over the floor again? If you guys can’t behave with it, I’m taking it away!” and well after we knocked it over to teach her a lesson, by goodness the next day it was gone. Hmph.
Tell her to put it on the counter. Dogs can’t climb plus then she’ll have to let you on the counter. I still haven’t used my fountain.
Still not together yet, eh? Humans sometimes (alot really) forget the arrangement of items on the priority tree…

(at least you HAVE a fountain!–we have bowl)
We are lovin that annoyed look Miss Sparkle!
Sparkle,
Does yous play in your water dish too?
Kisses
Nellie
No! I might get wet!
Can she put it on top of your cat tree? Does the dog jump high?
We have that fountain too, Sparkle!
We got an extra large one–we call it the “oceanarium” instead of a fountain because it is so large. It’s nice because it holds a LOT of water! and, I imagine, fish. 🙂
wha?!? Sparkle, you say you got the new fountain for Christmas…and it’s almost July now and your human hasn’t set it up for you? Unacceptable! Our fountain is the centerpiece on the kitchen table, to keep it out of dog’s reach. We’ve had it for at least a year and when our mom first turned it on, it scared us…so it has been off ever since…hmmm…guess we shouldn’t be saying much…

Hey Sparkle, your new fountain is the same one we got for Sister Precious, except it is white…she loves it!
Mum turns our fountain off at night because I scrape all the water out and she is afraid the motor will burn out. She’s not too thrilled about me flooding the kitchen either. We have the same black ceramic fountain as you.
Eric
Your human is simply AWFUL, Sparkle! We are beginning to understand where your disdain springs from.
Sparkle, you DO look annoyed in that last picture!
We don’t have a kitty fountain. Mom posted some non-cat related pictures. We like them, but we do want our blog back soon.
We really have to do all the work, don’t we?
Purrs
Your own ripple machine~ purrfect!
Forget original… Dog? DOG???
Sparkle, why has a DOG been tainting your water fountain???
Has your human gone to the dark side?
Concerned,
Katie
The dog belongs to my human’s boyfriend. We had no say in the matter. Well, actually my human did because he asked for permission before bringing her home and she said okay. I do not know WHAT she was thinking!
We just got a fountain this year (and not to brag, but our human put it together the same day!) and we LOVE it. It has helped with Sassy’s drinking (or lack there of) problem.
It looks as though you will still be waiting for a drink next Christmas!! We had one but Mum sent it to a shelter as we preferred to lap from a dish!
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Sparkle, it’s time to get your human handypersons cracking. In the meantime, come join Odin in his naughty dance video.
We gave up on fountains after two of them got deaded. The woofies here got too much of their fur and stuff in them. ack 🙁

Yep….lots of kitty fountains today. You need that to wash down what I have for the day…hehehehe
My Bird Photos have RIPPLES today. <-link
You do look a little annoyed Sparkle. It is time for that fountain to be put together. Hope all of you have a great week end.
Cats sure attracted to rippling water aren’t they? Funny in an animal that has been domesticated for centuries.
