It was really hot in our old house! There was no air conditioning at all. Eventually my human installed an overhead fan in the upstairs hallway to get the air moving.
I was actually quite brave to be sitting up there — when my human first turned it on, all us cats scattered! It was one of the scariest moments of my life!
Binga was the most frightened of all of us. But even she finally realized that the fan had its benefits.
PURR-fect Photo Hunt! Great photos!
As much as I am afeared of Miss Binga, I am also drawn in by her beauty…
We have ceiling fans in almost every room! Mommy never understands when designers on H&G channel take down an energy saving ceiling fan and replace it with a dust catching light! You should hear her talking to the TV about going green………yeah for you=^Y^=
Those are great pictures of you and Binga. We’ve had a ceiling fan for years, but every once in a while I will sit under it, stare up at it, meow and chirp furiously at it, then dart out of the room…just for fun.
We only have one fan and it’s just a regular floor fan not one of those ceiling ones. I know it makes everything a little cooler when we have the hots (not that often) but I find it quite scary. I don’t mind being in the same room, but I really don’t like being too close. That first picture today makes me queasy!
I sit directly in front of our AC vent to stay cool when it is so hot.
You are very brave to be so close to the fan. Mum has a fan that stands on the floor, but we won’t go in if it is working.
Great pictures of the Official Sparkle and Binga Fan Club!!!
You were very brave to sit up that close to the fan but hopefully your human waited for you to get down before turning it on and scaring the beejeebers out of you. Binga looks quite content with it now! Both of you on ledges like that makes our mommy nervous. She’s a worry wart.
Yow! the thought of no ac sure makes us feel hot! Love the look on your face in that picture, Sparkle. Sometimes, after a winter of no ceiling fan, we are intrigued when it is first turned on again in the summer.

pee ess: not to worry, we have our mom person wrapped around our kitty paws and are not without kitty trees! We just want more…
I love the pictures too! I love the description of your cats scattering when the ceiling fan was turned on (not that I like the thought of cats getting scared, mind you) and then realizing the fan is not the enemy but a friend!
Cool photos; you guys are very brave!…Enjoy the day, sweet friends…kisses…Calle, Halle, Sukki
It still looks like you’re pretty hot though. I’m wondering if that fan made some scary noises, the cats here don’t even notice that the ceiling fan is on.
It was actually pretty quiet. We just had never seen anything like it before!
Wow! These photos of you and Binga are SUPER Sparkle!! You girls really stand out against the white background and the perspective is awesome!
So now you’re all fans of the fan? Me too.
Ah, ceiling fans! I have one, and I used to have a lovely tortoise shell named Bonnie who thought they were the personification of evil, somehow. Maybe the blades reminded her of the hovering wings of a predatory bird. Perhaps she thought the attic fan was going to suck her out of the hall. I don’t know. What I do know is that if there was fan on in the house, she had to be Out of it.
Like your take on the theme. . . come drop by and see mine if you have time! http://healingmagichands.wordpress.com/2010/09/04/photohunt-hot/
We went back and read about the fan installation. Poor Binga! May Ling is fascinated by one of the ceiling fans in the great room…all the others she could care less about!
We have a fan on our Catio and Daddy runs it during the day to keep the air circulating for us.
Great Photo Hunt! That would be a very scary experience the first time!
We got fans and air conditioning!! Zoey likes to watch the fan go round. But we don’t need them today…it’s only in the 60s here today!!
hahahah cute cat..i feel you..we once have our ac broken and boy, our house is like an oven. we need to go to the mall until its fixed..
anyway, my hot is up too

see you
That picture of Binga totally made me laugh.
We have a fan too and it makes us very nervous. One of the kitties used to not come in the room if the fan was on. But some of us have learned that it does feel good to have a breeze inside the house. Glad you are able to chill now Sparkle. And by the way, that is a great picture of you in all that light.
Hope all of you have a great week end.
We have had the fan on sometimes this summer when it has been hot. It is nice to feel the cool breeze on our coats.
I could see how that fan would be scary, Sparkle! You could get your head chopped off! Or maybe it’s just the angle of the picture, but you look very close to it.
Hope you’re beating the heat safely this year, dear.
I discovered a fan’s benefits for the first time this summer. Last summer was so cool where we live, the humans only used airconditioning a few times. This summer, it has been on most days, but for some “not quite so hot” days they tried using a fan. You guys stay cool, y’hear?
I’ll bet that it wasn’t only great when it was hot but also fun to look at!
Fans are great when it’s HOT!
That must have been so scary for you. We’re glad you appreciate the fans now!

What a cute entry! Looks like the cats are really lurking for more air! lol! 🙂

How nice of your human to install fans for you!
Those fans make me dizzy… You look a little too close to the fan in the top photos! DUCK!

I hope you all are cool cats now!
