Every so often my human brings home cheap trinkets for us cats like the ones you see below, but at our old house it was really a problem.
One minute Boodie would be walking around with one of them, as if it was hard-won prey instead of some dumb toy.
Then next thing you know, she had lost it underneath the old couch that the humans used to have!
Once those things wound up under that couch, they were hard to find!
Finally the humans got rid of that couch. There were like a billion toys under there! When they moved to the place we live in now, they got a sofa that toys can’t hide under, and a toy box for our cat toys. But to be honest, I don’t really like those flimsy freebies anyhow.
I’d hate to think how many fake mousies are living under our stove…
We wanted to stop by and say thank you for your kind words and for your support for our Rudy Toots.
We know that it’s helping him feel better.
Smoochies to you!
My Jessica and Tamara’s cats’ toys are easy to find. One of those cats likes to keeps all he’s toys in the water dish. Or in the toilet!!
Winslow do likes he’s toys to be wet.
My hairy slobbery sister Sam eats my toys. She eats the catnip too when the humans puts it on the scratch padd on the rolly ball. So me has no kitty toys.
I DO steal gloves though and fling them through the air likes flying birds……
Yep, the couch monster eats our toys up lots of the time…really!
It’s not easy living with flunkies that will play with anything the humans put in front of them. You would think those cats are out to please the humans!
Because My Human is a very strict “school marm” (NOT!!!) she uses one of those old-fashioned looong wooden rulers to fish out our toys from under the couches. We always try to give her a bit of trouble when she uses the “ruler” by biting the end of it or trying to hang off of it…
We have toys under everything but Isabella loves to put her jelly beans under the closet door downstairs and then cry for her daddy to come get it out. This can go on for hours if you let it.

We ended up keeping a long strip of our flooring under the couch, so we can retrieve their toys. They will bat them under there and then walk around meowing like the world is about to end. It’s amazing how many toys they can lose in such a short period of time…now, that’s talent 🙂
I bet we have literally thousands f little mice in our house and we’ve only lived here around two years 😀
Ha ha ha! We have a bench that has a very very very small opening under it! U know what? Sometimes I take my toys over there and bat them underneath ON PURPOSE. The Human has no idea why I do that since I can’t get them out again. Frankly, I don’t know myself why I do it!
My Human is currently broken–she haz teh sick and is no fun. Sorry if I have been a little scarce–HER fawlt!
We bet if mom looked under the china cabinet, there’d be a whole bunch of toys under there!!
Our toys go and hide under the oven or the fridge. Mum uses dad’s snooker cue for getting them out.
I KNEW there was a good reason for the humans to consider buying a pool table. I will take this up with them.
It sure looks like you kitty have a lot of toys.
Mine is up and also the coffee is on.
MOL lots of our toys get eated by the couch monsta too
I like the idea of a kitty toy box. Is it cat sized?
It’s actually a pink Hello Kitty box!
We hide our toys too but sometimes it is the cleaning lady who puts them someplace no one thinks to look for them!
The Farm cats rip the tails off of those mice and then the bodies disappear never to be seen again. Only a little fabric tail remains…..
Our toys end up under the dryer. Mommy mines under there every few months and we get TONS of toys, marinated in dryer lint and (as Mommy says) “Cod only knows what”.
They’re MUCH better than fresh from the package…that’s why we stuff ’em under there!
We find the cheap ones come apart easy and Mom gets scared we ate some of the toy! Only good and safe ones now.
Cute photos!…Yeah, we have a stash of toys under the sofa and the bed; it’s a stratigic move on our part=they are safe there until we want to play with them again!…Happy weekend, beautiful friends…xoxo…Calle, Halle, Sukki
PS…We got your fun bookmark last night and Mommy will use it as she reads your book and Max’s!…Thanks so much, she adores it and we love the kitty rules on it=she needed a refresher course!…xoxo…CHS
Great take on the theme, Sparkle and Boodie. We used to have one of those toy-eating couches too.
We think watching the hoomin get our toys back for us is the best part of having a toy!! tee heeee
Mum is always complaining (no change there!!) that she spends half her life on her tummy with the torch and a thin piece of wood getting our toys out from under the bed, the cooker, the couch and any where else we whap them to – we keep telling her it is helping to keep her fit.
Under the stove is another great place to hide toys!
We know all about missing toys. Mom moved the sofa the other day and it was like an early Christmas….for about 3 seconds until we whapped them back under.

We TOTALLY understand! We lose our toys ALL the time and I think most of them are under the evil loud washing machine. Momma says it’a amazing that we can even stuff them under there, but we’re cats……….we can stuff a toy anywhere!
Our toys end up under the stove or fridge. We think that little pink mouse is kind of cute.
We sent off your Paw it Forward package today. Please don’t be disappointed. Take care and have a great week end.
Yes, my toys used to get under that couch by magic and many of HH’s pens went the same route… Have a good weekend.
Max
We think our couch is part cat since it keeps all cat toys to itself. Have a good weekend!
Hugs,
Tom
We used to get the little furry mice and I swear the real mice ran off with them. 5 mice lasted only a few days. One got away, though. We were moving and our helper pulled out the washing machine and there it was. He insisted is was a real mouse and would not go back in the laundry room.
