Photo Hunt: Escape

September 22, 2012 By: Sparkle Cat30 Comments

Checking to see if the coast is clear... actually it is never clear around here.

Every so often I look out the back door and wonder what life is like on the outside.

Is this what they mean when they talk about having one foot out the door?

I would love to escape and go exploring one of these days!

Meh. Too much work.

But I always have second thoughts.

We are able to escape into the garden whenever we like, but we can’t escape beyond the purrison fence unless mum goes with us.

Well, sweet Sparkle, it looks like you might have a nice little patch to explore out there. Me, I just have a sidewalk and street wif skeery CARS. If I had a nice little yard though…..Hmmmmm. It’s when a kitteh has options.

I think it´s best that you don´t run away out in the BIG BIG world , atleast not without a harness and leash 🙂

Good boy Sparkle! You made a smart choice to keep most of your paws inside! Don’t go outside without your human, there are too many dangers out there.

Gemini and Ichiro go running out the back porch when they can (and now sometimes the front if it’s only the Woman) but I am too smart to do that. I mean, I have everything I need–why go out there?

Three out of four of our feline family members agree, but our explorer, Hitch, has found himself in the treetops on not one, but two occasions. Thank Cod that firemen will come with their ladder truck and rescue an intrepid explorer when he’s been Meowing at the top of his voice for hours and all the neighborhood’s calling for a rescue. Please, stay indoors where it’s safer and you rule with a velvet paw! As for Hitch, we’ve redoubled our efforts to contain him. I don’t know that the nice firemen will come a third time.

P.S. if ever in a similar situate. Call firehouse directly. Dispatch will say they can’t help. The Fire Captian might have more trouble saying no to a crying kittyMom.

Our humans let us escape on weekend mornings. But, the thing is, it is completely supervised and then they forcefully pick us up and bring us back into the house. Hmmm… I guess that is not “escape” at all…

It does look like fun Sparkle. Two Two every once in a while looks like she would try the outside world, but knowing Two Two, she wouldn’t last 30 seconds. If someone drives up the driveway, she is UTB. But we like those pictures. They are great.
