You probably figured out I would use this week’s Photo Hunt theme to plug the digital version of my book, Dear Sparkle: Advice from One Cat to Another!
Many Kindle books, mine included, have lending enabled. This means that the book’s owner is allowed to loan the book out to one reader, one time. The borrower gets the book for 14 days, and then it is digitally returned to its original owner. I thought it would be great if my human lent Dear Sparkle to one of my blog readers, and she agreed! You can find out more about lending Kindle books here.
If you would like to borrow my human’s copy of Dear Sparkle, all you have to do is say so when you comment below. Like I said, you just need a device with a Kindle app, not even an actual Kindle, to read it! You have until Monday night, May 9, at 11:59 PM, Pacific Time to comment, and my human will choose a winner via random.org. It’s as easy as that. Good luck!
My mom has a Kindle and she would love to read to me your very wise advice, Sparkle!
I always pride myself on being such a computer geek and a constant reader, but I don’t even have an ebook reader yet. I need to get with the times.
Ow, WOW! That first picture? We that it was a (ahem) temperature probe…
My Human has a Kindle that someone gave her as a (lovely) gift two years ago, but she has only turned it on once and she doesn’t even know how to use it! Ha ha ha! She’s soooooo stupid! Anyway, she knows some much smarter person will be lucky to get your book, Sparkle!
Oh darn…we don’t have one of those kindle thingeys…but we do have your book in paper!!
Great example of digital. Mom still does not have a kindle, something about not having enough time to read. Your book sounds wonderful!

That’s a great feature to be able to lend out a book. Our mommy doesn’t have a Kindle but we do have your 2nd book in paper form!
Ohai, Sparkle! I was just watching Cats 101 and I thought I saw YOU! They were talking about Somalis and I had to go right up to the screen to see. Nope, the kitty they were grooming lives in Mew York. But she looked like you! You’re my hero.
Purrs,
Nina
Sparkle, this is SO cool! Mommy has a Kindle and so does her pawrents…now they can share!
btw, the boys loved your fuzzy bottom shot today, hubba hubba!
The publicist has a nook so she is out of luck
Eventually my first book will be available for Nook, and if there is lending enabled, maybe I will do the same type of drawing!
I’d love to check out your words of wisdom, Sparkle. Can I get the ap for a laptop?
I checked out the Kindle reading apps page: http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html?ie=UTF8&docId=1000493771 and there are apps for both PC and Macs, including laptops, as long as they fit the specifications listed.
You are so cute Sparkle, and digital will show you off fur sure!
We would love to see how that works! We have a Kindle!
Congrats on publishing for Kindle. I have the paper copy of your book, so won’t need to use the lending on me, but it’s wonderful that you can do that…
Have a great day.
pawhugs, Max
I can’t wait until I can afford a Kindle.
Do they come with free cats?
No, Amazon has not come up with that promotion yet.
Great photo hunt, gorgeous Sparkle; you are such an adorable tiny girl, sweetie, but we know your big personality makes up for your size!…Have a fun Saturday, precious friends…kisses…Calle, Halle, Sukki
Don’t have a Kindle, and don’t yet have the Kindle app on our computer. Dad has a Nook, but he never uses it. Sigh!!
Mum hasn’t got a kindle – she still borrows books from the library and keeps us awake half the night when she can’t sleep cos she puts the light on to read.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Those funny looking books seem pretty nice. M is always talking bout getting one, but I haven’t seen her do it yet.
I love your cat!
We don’t have a kindle app. Also we have read the book but that is a nice offer. Hope it is a success. Take care.
No kindle here 🙁
I am so behind technology, at least I have a digital cam, though 8) happy weekend!
Well, I have the real book so I don’t think I need the kindle version.
Great take on the theme. I had no idea you could lend kindle books. I like that it comes back too – not like so many books I’ve,lent over the years! Have a great weekend
Good Luck for the winner !
Mommy has resisted kindle so far. She tends to be the last person in the werld to do anyfin relating to technology! Tee hee.
We’re glad yoo liked Dr Kate’s blog.
I just want to mention that it’s almost better NOT to have a Kindle, since on a lot of computers and devices that use the Kindle apps, the photos appear in color, whereas on the Kindle itself, everything is in grayscale. So if the winner only has an Android or iPad or a computer or whatever with a Kindle app, they may get a treat that a Kindle owner doesn’t!
Sorry, Sparkle, won’t be entering your competition as I’m still kindle-less.
BTW, that photo of you from the back makes you look like a soft plushie!!! :O
Nope – no kindle 🙁
