Photo Hunt – Bubbles

June 12, 2010 By: Sparkle Cat20 Comments

This week’s Photo Hunt theme inspired my human to pull out a stupid toy from a few years ago that we hated. It’s called a “Bubble Kitty.” Even though we gave it a big FAIL, she decided to give it another try.

Bubble Kitty my fluffy behind.

And of course she dug it out while we were napping.

Not pleased.

This “Bubble Kitty” comes with some soapy solution that is supposed to be catnip-infused.

Just goes to show, never believe labels

I kind of doubt this stuff came within 50 yards of any catnip, infused or otherwise.

I think Boodie has fallen prey to the power of suggestion.

My human ignored our obvious annoyance proceeded to fill up this dumb Bubble Kitty with the stinky (not in a good way) soapy stuff.

The only reason this photo is here is because my human was playing with the macro function.

And then naptime was over because this thing was loud and scary and my human kept pointing it at us like it was a gun. We thought she had gone out of her mind. I ran away.

Trust me, this is NOT a fun cat toy.

Not only was it noisy, Binga was scared of the bubbles. It didn’t take her too long to run away too. Actually, that part was funny because 99 percent of the time, Binga acts like she’s not scared of anything.

I guess this was a vishus bubble.

Boodie was too dumb to run away. She just sat there and stared at the bubbles. I think she was waiting for a catnip high that never came.

And she's still waiting!

Oh well, give that toy a fail…we have enjoyed simple catnip flavored bubbles… as the old geezers on the Bose Radio commercials say “Without all the contraptions”!

How funny that we both had bubbles this weekend. I’m not sure if I would like a loud gun, but it probably has better output than Mama blowing through the cheapy wand. We’ve always been skeptical of the catnip bubbles. Doesn’t seem possible that it would have that good smell. Anyway, it was nice to meet you all. You’re all very cute!

This toy would be better for dogs. I think they like bubbles more. But they would also be afraid of loud and scary toys. Maybe the bubbles might be fun with a normal bubble blower.

Momma cat buys us catnip bubbles at petsmart and they are the old fashioned blow thru the wand kind like she played with when she was a kid. We like to run and pop the bubbles when the start to touch the floor. I don’t know if we would like the machine,we don’t like noisy things. But we love chasing bubbles. Momma cat always laughs at us as we try and pop each one.

oh that was funny! At least your human got a photo of Boodie and the bubbles. Mango did not like the bubbles popping on his fur, he gave them that LOOK. Taco and Bella didn’t care, but we didn’t have a loud catnip bubble thingy either.

Hey, bubbles, that does sound like a good idea, but without the scary machine. We’ll ask Photoguy to try it the old fashioned way some time.

What a great picture of you running away Sparkle. We don’t like loud noises either but we might like the bubbles. Hope you were able to hide somewhere. What a silly Mom to bring that loud crazy toy out.
    Have a great week end.

OK, I have to say…although you hated the toy….the pictures are kinda funny! Can you not nab the toy when your mom isn’t looking and hide it somewhere? Under the washing machine? I think we would hate it too, Alice is scaird of strange noises. And cars. And dogs. And thunder. And strangers. And squirrels……………….
