This week’s photo hunt theme takes me back to my kittenhood. When my human first brought me home, the house she and her boyfriend were living in at the time had two stories. The upper floor hallway had a railing that my human referred to as the “balance beam.” Binga liked to jump on top of it and walk back and forth — she got treats for doing this. My human was determined I would learn how to be balanced too. I was not so sure about her weird game.

But after a while I got used to doing it. Even so, I don’t think Binga was impressed with my technique.
I did get pretty good at staying balanced on the beam. This photo turned out so nice that my human put it on cards in my CafePress shop.
But there were also some loser photo sessions. As you can see, that clown collar she made me wear totally threw me off. This photo looks completely unnatural.
Finally it was time for my debut as a runway model.
Actually, it was also my last time as a runway model. When the humans moved to a new house, even though it’s built on several different levels, there were no more balance beams. Frankly, I am kind of relieved.
Hi!
I just wanted to stop by and tell you that your blog has been included in the “Mouchois Kitty Toolbar”! The toolbar makes it easier for users to keep up to date with your blog. 😀

I wanted to include all of my favorite blogs in the toolbar, but if you’d like your blog removed, please email me and let me know at mouchois (at) catlover.com
My cat named Davinci LOVES to climb all over our railings in the home. I guess some cats just like living on the edge.
Gorgeous pics!
I like how Binga is balanced on the post, very nice pose. And you, Sparkle, are elegant as always!
Your photos took me back to my own youth and the plethora of beams, bannisters, curtain rods, wardrobe shelves and the tops of refrigerators. I had a little moment of sadness for my long ago kittenhood, Those were the days my friend, those were the days……
I think I like the one with the clown collar. If only humans could balance like that.
You and Binga are furry good on the balance beam. We like your supermodel video too – you are so purrty Sparkle!
I’m not up to speed to know what the balance thing is all about, but love the photo. Reminds me of my cats who used to love to walk like they were on tight rope across the top of a fence which was pretty narrow. lol
Sandy
Very cute!
I must admit you are one gorgeous cat…
Don’t fall, Sparkle!! Whew! I’m glad we are on one level here, I wouldn’t want my two trying that!
Your an acrobat sparkle!
LOL! Some kitties are made for it, and some aren’t, for sure. Sly has developed a taste for getting up on Daddy’s shoulder & balancing on the top of the door! But he never does it when a camera’s around, so no pics yet. ;-( I love yours!
I had plenty of choices for “balanced” right in my backyard, though. Have a great weekend!
I would call that one big kitty toy! Looks like fun for the young and adventurous.
Sparkle, you are pretty and talented!
Cat gymnastics!!! Coolness! 🙂
What a talented and beautiful model you are. By the way. . . didn’t you change the look of your blog? NICE JOB!
Thanks for dropping by my post too.
Scott
Great photos!
WOW! What dainty little feet and perfect balance! You are so beautiful, Sparkle! 😀
Perfect photos for this week!!
Have a great weekend.
Beautiful and beautifully balanced. Love the one in the sunlight!
Balance beam walking is loads of fun, but now that I am older, I do not do it very often anymore. My banister/balance beam photos are from about a year ago!
I could tell they are enjoying. Very cute ones.

You really are good at walking the balance beam. And you even did it with the clown collar around your neck. Good job and great pictures.
So, so beautiful!!! I LOVE cats!!!!
