I had fun at the Phoenix cat show, and the best part is that I was barely outside at all, which is great considering how hot it was! I got to keep cool indoors and meet lots of friendly humans.
The cat show was at El Zaribah Shrine Auditorium, and in the entry way, there was this humongous statue of a Shriner. My human is fascinated by the Shriners and all the mysterious rituals that happen in their organization. All I care about is that they seem to be really nice humans who care about helping children. One of my hospitals as a therapy cat is a Shriners hospital.
I was a little annoyed that my human didn’t get a lot of photos of me in my outfits. And I wore every one of them at some point too. The people who stopped by to visit with me loved my dresses and tricks!
In fact, this is the only dress photo my human took of me! At least it is a good one.
There was an awards banquet happening that night, so my human didn’t eat much at the show. She did have this banana nut muffin… and she refused to share.
It was an exciting awards show for my pal BJ — not only was he 14th Best Cat in Premiership last season, he also earned his Grand of Distinction title. That means he finaled in 30 rings during three separate seasons! That is not an easy title to get.
I didn’t go to the banquet, and when my human returned, I wanted to go for a walk. I made that really clear by sitting by the door. So she took me out on my leash. Funny enough, I headed straight for where the banquet had been going on! Although it was over, people were still milling around. One lady said I was an old soul. I was kind of annoyed that my human didn’t correct her and tell her I was only a little over three years old.
I visited the business center for a while, but my human said we had a computer upstairs.
What a long day! I was beat, and so was my human.
