I got my Paw It Forward package the other day from Marg and her animals. Of course, somebody had to nose in on the action, even though it was my name on the box.
Look at all the cool stuff she sent! Toys and treats and a cute litter scoop. The latter is for my human, of course.
The little calico catnip pillow was Binga’s favorite, maybe because the colors match her fur. I hope she took the message on the enclosed card to heart. It would mean less smackdowns during the holidays.
Boodie was a little slow — she missed all the excitement.
So let me explain a little bit about Pawing It Forward. The recipient gets a package of fun, random items — something special, cheery or just nice! It doesn’t even have to be new — it can be something from around the house that you think the recipient would appreciate. In turn, the recipient “paws it forward,” and sends a package to up to three other bloggers. So the first three who say they want to participate will get a Paw It Forward package from me… OR I am going to add a slightly different twist, since some kitties have already played, and with the holidays and Secret Paws, etc., a lot of you are probably already up to your noses in trinkets. You can either choose that I send you a package of goodies OR you can name a rescue group that is special to you and instead I will donate the money to them that I would have spent on the goodies and the shipping. The first three of you who step up — it’s your choice! Either way, I think Pawing It Forward is great.
Thanks to Casbah Kitten for nominating the Beaufort Community Cat Project and a big THANK YOU to Sparkle for the donation!! Greatly appreciated and it will go a long way in their efforts to improve the lives of free-roaming cats through spay and neuter.
XOXO
Poor Boodie, I hope she gets something.
What a great way to Paw it Forward!
I want the box!! I may be too late to participate too–I’m all for kitties in the shelter getting a treat for Christmas!
Noir
The idea is really good, but I live to far away to participate ! we also have shelters here who always are in need of money or gifts.
You know, Sparkle, Boodie got the best part of all: The Box!!!
The Human thinks Paw It Forward is a cool idea, but right now she says she has “too much work” (Bast! She’s like a broken record!). She hopes we can play another time!
Great Paw it Forward package, Sparkle! We think Boodie did all right with just the box 🙂 The calico catnip pillow is very pretty. And what a great idea to do your PIF for shelters!
Pip, Smidgen, Minnie, and Hollie
Well, at least Boodie got the box!
Very cool! And how generous to suggest donating to a shelter. Sparkle you are both gorgeous and giving 🙂
Sparkle, you are the best…and look at the good you bring out in other kitties! And some Grinchy humans think Cats are aloof. Cretins.
Sparkle you are a very generous cat.
But didn’t Boodie get the best prize of all? — an empty box!!
I’m glad to see some more donations for PurrEver Ranch!
Rats! We were too slow getting onto your blog this morning Sparkle. We would have liked some goodies sent to the Santa Cruz (CA) SPCA. That’s a group that we support. They are non-profit and do so much for our community. Our non-blog Mom works with homeless families and the SPCA donates cat and dog food to folks who cannot afford it. We donate to the SPCA year round, but we know this time of year there are more cats and dogs in need.
Pay it forward is a great idea. Have a good Tuesday!
That looks like a lot of wonderful goodies 🙂 Poor Boodie, but sometimes it’s fun to play in the box too 🙂
Way cool idea, Sparkle! We have 3 baskets of toys and know there are many cats in need out there! Tabby’s Place is our favorite rescue, too–the one that Beaded Tail mentioned.
You got a lot of cool presents Sparkle and Binga! We hope Boodie got some too. We think it’s really nice how you’re going to do your Paw It Forward! We’d play along and nominate Tabby’s Place as the charity!
Tabby’s Place is another rescue/ sanctuary that I love too! In fact, my human was already planning to give to them for her end-of-the-year donations – so she will just add a little more on!
P.S. Watch for Monday’s post — they are getting mentioned!
Sparkle looks like a fun stash of loot and toys!
Cool stuff! Enjoy it, guys.
What a great package! We like your idea of pawing it forward to a shelter — that’s purrfect, especially for this time of year.
It IS a great idea… either that, or my human is already burnt out on shopping. 😉
What a fun and wonderful idea! I would love to play, but I think sending the money to a shelter would be better. Does the shelter then need to send packages out? If not, I would love to nominate a shelter! Holly’s Place Animal Rescue!
The shelter doesn’t have to do anything except accept the money! 🙂
BTW, I love Holly’s Place – they were the recipient of my award money from my Petties win!
Great package of goodies! We love the idea of donating to a shelter is a pawsome idea!
Looks like a lot of good treats. Any cat would want stuff like this.
What a great Paw It Forward package! We just played…but we think donating to a animal charity or shelter is a wonderful idea, Sparkle!!
Glad you like all the goodies Sparkle and that your roommates like them too. What a fantastic idea to donate to the shelters. I almost did that on this one. I hope you get three takers on this paw it forward. Thanks for the good pictures.
Take care.
What a terrific package you got, goodies all around!
What a haul! That will keep you busy for days. We would like to get in on some Paw It Forward action (Momma has had an unexpected surge in Christmas cheer). We’ll have do do a post………….
But, we’d like to participate in yours too and we nominate the Beaufort Community Cat Project as our charity! They’re wonderful.
Pee Ess — We LOVE our bookmark and we make Momma read to us every day so we can use it!
