Well, at least they are letting this kitty give one away! In fact, they let us have a super-cool air purifier for free to try out too! You should have seen my human’s face light up when it arrived on our doorstep. Our vintage home is a dust and pet fur magnet. It even makes us kitties cough. And we’ve been checked out for asthma so we know it is not that.
I was worried for a moment when I saw the instruction manual, but the humans were able to assemble it easily with the Quickstart Guide. The manual explains things like cleaning it and troubleshooting, but we haven’t had it long enough to need any of that information yet.
For the first week, the humans put it in the bedroom to see how it worked there. It has a three-year HEPA filter and a three-year odor filter, plus it’s Energy Star® qualified. On the low setting it is whisper quiet, or it can create white noise on high settings (which my human’s boyfriend likes to have when he sleeps). All this is great to know if you are a human. If you are a kitty, you are just sort of worried that the house might not smell like you own it anymore.
See that colored ring up there? That’s the part that makes the AirInstinct™ 200 so smart! It actually monitors all the stuff that is floating through the air with its sensor and adjusts its own speed — your human can just turn it on and walk away! And you know what the speed is because of the cool Mood Light. It has four settings, blue being the lowest, then purple and magenta, with red being the highest.
While it was in the bedroom, the AirInstinct™ 200 never got above purple, and my human didn’t think we were working it hard enough. So she moved it up to the living room. We cats spend the more active parts of our day up here and my human’s messy, dusty office is right off the living room so she thought it would get a real test up here!
And what do you know, it did! Actually, the only time it turned full-on red was when my human was doing a cardio dance workout — I wonder what that says about her exercise routine.
But of course we cats also help. Boodie is rushing by, trying to keep the AirInstinct™ 200 from changing color! But she can’t hide all that fur!
Binga gives the AirInstinct™ 200 her face rub of approval. In the time we’ve had it, we have almost completely stopped coughing! I can’t say for sure that the air purifier is totally responsible for that, but it is making the air lots cleaner!
Now let me get down to the good part: you can have one of these awesome AirInstinct™ air purifiers too! I bet there are a lot of you kitties out there with humans like mine, who really want a top-of-the-line air purifier but can’t shell out the money for it (they are not cheap!). Now here is your chance to get one in my special drawing!
I am trying something new this time and using something called Rafflecopter, which is still in the beta (tryout) stage. To enter, all you need to do is visit the Oreck site and comment below about one thing you learned about the AirInstinct 200. The winner will be picked randomly. But you can get more entries and more chances to win by following me or Oreck on Twitter, or being our fans on Facebook! (Hopefully Rafflecopter counts it if you already follow or fan me!) I hope this form below makes it easy for you to do. Let me know how it works out for you because I think it is a pretty cool new way to do drawings.
Unfortunately, only residents of the U.S. 48 contiguous states can enter (now I seriously have to make it up to my international friends!). The drawing ends at 11:59 AM November 30, and I will announce the big winner on December 1! And I promise I am going to come up with a drawing for my international kitty friends only!
