My human got me a couple of new spring dresses, and we decided to photograph me wearing them outside. It is spring, after all! (At least it is here… I hear other parts of the country are having issues with Mother Nature.) But my human decided to try something a little different with the lighting.
She brought out a reflective umbrella! That way, she can photograph me in the shade and bounce in some extra sunlight to make it a little more interesting visually. She used to do this with handmade reflective boards when she was photographing rock bands. Those are long gone, but she thought using the umbrella would work okay for a garden shoot.
She needed to adjust the camera exposure first. The first couple of shots came out too light.
Anyhow, here is the first dress. Isn’t the flower and faux sash pretty?
I think I will strike a pose! Plus I can watch birdies by striking this pose!
Here is the other dress. I think this one’s really pretty too! I like the pink ribbon.
Here is an over-the-shoulder pose so you can see the shiny pink bow in the back!
I do think using the reflective umbrella added a little to the photos, but did you notice something? My human forgot to take it — and me — into the garden! She was so busy messing around with the umbrella that she never did move our things down the stairs. I hope she remembers to do another shoot down there before everything turns brown.
