My human dragged her feet over this primary election because there was so much to vote for! So by the time she finished making her choices, it was election day. Since she was going by our polling place, she decided to take me along. She’s done that twice before and it was always a nice time for me.
My human knows it’s important to do her civic duty, so she votes in every election, no matter how small. And she does do her research on the candidates and weighs the options carefully.
There were a couple of mayoral candidates she especially didn’t like. Fortunately her pick is in the runoffs.
Yes, this always happens every time she votes.
Along with making the pollworker smile, I got to explore a little bit. That was fun!
Seriously, voting does make a difference, and it is the foundation of our democracy. No, it’s not perfect, but it’s better than most places! Especially vote in the local elections because the choices your city and state officials make will have a big impact on your life! That’s all I have to say about it, other than to give all the voters out there a high five.

Our local elections are well, a total disaster of candidates. MOL. And da one momma would vote for have no chance. She is gonna vote in November though.

My peeps voted yesterday. Usually our local elections don’t have a choice. There’s only one candidate and the peeps skip those. This one was important cos there were two other candidates one of whom the peeps voted for. She didn’t win but we hope she hasn’t given up. Of course the guy that state party was backing won. His father is already in Congress. They’ll vote for him in November.
What an important outing. Voting is a right and privilege.
