It’s Memorial Day, during which we remember those service men and women who paid the ultimate price to protect our freedom. It is also the first unofficial day of summer, when people get together for barbecues and warm weather activities. My human and I are having a picnic, and we are having fried chicken.
Instead of cooking, my human just went out and grabbed some fried chicken for our picnic… but it still looks amazing! I’m not so sure about the biscuit. I guess I’ll let my human have that.
I was very excited! It’s not every day I get fried chicken, you know.
I even got cat treats for dessert! My human just had cole slaw and no dessert. She is kind of bummed because they had chocolate beignets, and she decided not to get any. How much you wanna bet she goes back later in the week and picks one up?
I really enjoyed my Memorial Day picnic! I hope we get to have more picnics in the future, although my human did complain about the ants.

Next time you and your momma go on a picnic, can I come, too?! I’ve never had Popeye’s Chicken, but I do get KFC sometimes. It is delicious, though my humans tend to be stingy and only give me a small sampling. They don’t divide up the chicken equally, which isn’t fair. Tee hee hee.
