I got so excited when my human pulled out my carrier! She has been avoiding going out much for a few weeks because she wanted to avoid the people who got sick from visiting during the holidays. And then we had some rain. But finally, she decided it was time to take me on a pet shop visit. It was about time, I say!
I’ve been to this pet shop lots of times before, and I enjoyed trotting around on my leash and having people look at me.
The only problem was there was a couple in the store with a pair of large dogs, so we had to avoid them until they left. My human did a good job of keeping my presence unknown to them — whenever she saw the dogs in the distance, they weren’t even looking in my direction. Once they were gone, you know what I did? I went over to the dog section and checked things out!
To be honest, the dog stuff wasn’t all that interesting, so I wound up going back to the cat food and rubbing on it.
Best of all, I got an early Valentine’s Day gift! Then, when we were checking out, I sat on the counter and patiently waited while my human paid for our things. The staff was really impressed.
This was an especially fun pet shop visit!

Summer, I am so happy that you got to go on a pet shop visit. Good thing your human kept an eye out for those of the canine persuasion. Some places will just let anything into their shops. LOL Sounds like you had a good visit and your Valentine present looks divine.
So glad you and your Mom got to go out for a bit of fun 😉
That was a fun outing, and you got a nippy heart.
Whoa! You actually got a gift!
You have the best outings, Summer!
You are a lucky girl. The Yeoww! are the best.
You always have a fun time at the pet store sweet Summer and I’m glad you got to go!
It must have been difficult fer such a social cat as you, Summer, to stay at home during the snow and sickies! We are glad you got to the store again. And avoided those large doggies. If we could stand going out to strange places, we wouldn’t go to the woofie part. We would watch the fishies, birdies, and those odd mousie-like things.
I love watching you shop! SO happy you got to bring that heart home.
You are so lucky to be able to visit pet shops, and you are clearly a wonderful customer, Summer!
Purrs,
Tama and Genji
Sounds like you had a fun outing. The catnip heart is a wonderful treat.
You got to go to the store? LUCKY. I never get to go to the store unless I go there on my own, which I’m not supposed to do ’cause I’m not supposed to go on the road, and I can’t teleport on account of stupid Peepers takin’ my eggbeaters and whisks away ’cause of the pandemic. MOUSES!
Stupid peeps.
MOUSES!!!
Hee! Hee! We giggled when you scented the dog food! That will drive some woofie loco! Cinnamon is bummed, her and our human were supposed to go to the big city today and it snowed about 8 inches last night. Now she will have to wait until next week. Have a marvellously Happy Day!
What a fun outing! Our mom is waiting for the day she can have her own outing! MOL You Valentine gift is so cute.
What a pawsome gift you got for being such a good girl.
The Florida Furkids
Ohhh a new YEOW toy! Those are the best!
What a fun time!
Summer, will you give me some tips about how to start high fives with Mommy? I know she’l know about the treats when I am successful learning but how to get her and consequently, me…going…we are unsure.
Like a kid in a candy store <3
Summer sure is! That was good, Lesley.
😉
You really enjoy those pet store visits now that they
are so far between. I’m the same with my store visits –
staying at home is tiresome after a whole year. We
have to stay safe though.
