I had such a fun cat show day! The moment I got there, I was happily purring and enjoying my space, which my human had set up the day before.
Here’s the set up I had. Pretty similar to the way it usually is. My human did her best to make sure I had room to walk around and ring my bell when I wanted to.
I got so many people petting me! It was great. Funny thing is, most of the attendees here knew the proper kitty etiquette and offered their hands for me to smell before touching me. But I’m so used to my therapy cat visits where people don’t know any better and just start immediately reaching for me. So half the time I was, like, “I know why you’re here. Why don’t we just get to the good part?” Eventually I figured out they were just being polite.
Although my human brought both tiaras, I mainly wore the bigger one (when I was wearing one at all) because it stayed on my head better. Actually, I wore almost nothing we brought. I think I put on the princess dress once, and that was just to show some fans how easy it is to dress me.
My human just brought a couple of snacks, figuring she would grab lunch at the show. She forgot that all they sold was tri-tip sandwiches and she doesn’t eat red meat. (She actually loathes the taste of it.) All she could do til she got home was get these freshly baked chocolate chip cookies for an energy boost. Normally she eats much better than this! Honest. And of course, I wasn’t allowed any.
As always, my human let me pace myself, but I took less nap time than normal. I was just too happy meeting everyone!
Yes, it was a long, tiring day, but also exciting! My human walked into my photo studio later that evening, and found me on the set, lying next to my tiny piano. Yes, after that cat show, I wanted to do a photo session! But I guess that will have to wait for another day.
