One thing about cat shows that people don’t think about is that they’re a fun place to buy cat toys! You’ll find cat toys there you won’t find anywhere else. Often they are handmade. And they are usually pretty compact, because people with cats that are competing use them to keep up their enthusiasm between rings. Over the years, my human has bought me some pretty unique cat show cat toys. Sadly, she has also lost quite a few of them! Like literally, we’d come home from a cat show, and she’d discover she left one at the show hall or hotel room. But she managed to hang onto the pile you see here, and I’ll show some of them to you today.
You saw me playing with this one in my Fitbit post. And I do love it a lot! It’s just a tiny bug-like toy on a wire attached to a stick, but I get so excited over it!
You’ve seen this one before too. Often, the cat show cat toys will be themed to match the holiday, if it is a holiday show. So it’s obvious my human got this one around Christmas.
I think this pretty, sparkly butterfly was a gift. It’s a little fragile — in fact, the wings have a couple of tears from me biting them. So it doesn’t come out very often.
The dragonfly is similar to the butterfly. They are both actually decorative clips that got made into cat toys.
And then there is one of my very favorite cat toys…
Yep, this guy! My human has no idea which cat show he came from. But I love it! I can’t wait for the shows to have vendors and attendees again, so my human and I can get back to all the fun.
Have you ever shopped for cat toys at a cat show? Or thought of shopping at one? Let me know in the comments!

I only showed my sweet Citlin. Pronounced kitlyn. She was a beautiful silver domestic shorthair with huge green eyes. She was smart and learned lots of tricks. Most important, she had a catsonality like yours. Very sweet and laid back which made it easy to show her. I have several ribbons. She won second, fifth, seventh and ta da. Best in show andcwon the Morris award for best household cat. There weren’t a lot of vendors at these shows. I did get professional photo shoot of her for free for winning the Morris award. How I miss my girl
I drop kick or step on more cat toys than the cat gang plays with! MOL!
Mom is busting to go to a cat show but there never is one where I live,
What terrific wand toys! We love all your photos, but the look on your face in the first photo is painting worthy! WOW!
Those are some cool toys! Whenever I go to our annual cat show I try to pick something up for Mudpie. (And I’m VERY impressed that your human knows who Minnie Pearl was!!!)
That is a lovely selection of cat toys.
Looks like you have a lot of fun toys. XO

You certainly are a cat with many possessions.
Never been to a cat show.
Am sure that your human has gotten rid of more cat toys than the average person acquires for their beasties!
