I had such an awesome shopping day! We stopped at the local pet shop we haven’t visited in a while.
It’s a tiny place, and for a while they were only allowing in one shopper at a time. But now that things are opening back up, they had a few people coming in to buy things. I had fun looking around, like I always do.
I got to check out the cat toys, of course.
And of course, I sniffed out both new things and old familiar things, like this ladder. There were lots of good smells.
I even looked at the dog toys. I also met a shopper who said I was amazing! (I knew that already, but I still liked hearing it from her.) In fact, she told me that twice.
Then I got petted by a different shopper while my human was checking out. I really enjoyed that. It’s so fun feeling like a superstar again.
Even better, I got to ride shotgun all the way home! This is the pet shop that’s really close to our house, so my human lets me ride home in the passenger seat instead of being put back in the carrier. Except for crossing one major street, it’s all residential.
I was very good all the way home (which was a little over half a mile). I either relaxed on the seat, or I looked out the window. I was very happy! And unlike being in the carrier, I did not meow once.

The store is a little over half a mile away? My peeps could walk that distance and I bet you’d love the walk except maybe crossing that big street. I hope you got something nippy along with the pets and ego stoking. You *are* pawsome.

Awww, Summer, it’s so nice that you got to get out and enjoy some shopping excitement. I’m sure everyone you came in contact with was thrilled to give you special attention, too.
