It’s that time again! Time for my annual wellness check up. I was lucky when we got there — no dogs were in the waiting room, so my human let me out of my carrier on my leash. It didn’t take too long before we got called in, and it was just as well, since someone had just arrived with their dog.
Once we were in the waiting room, the tech started off with my two least favorite things: getting weighed and taking my temperature. Ick. I’m a hair under 7 lbs., which is pretty typical for me.
There’s the offending thermometer.
While we waited for the vet to show up, I looked around the exam room. Sometimes they have a jar of treats, but this time they didn’t.
Once the vet came in, checked me out, and signed my therapy organization’s form, I was ready to go home! But then I was told I needed to be taken out back for blood work and a urine sample. Darn!
Honestly, it didn’t take very long, and after my human paid for everything we were on our way. The vet called right away the next morning to let my human know my numbers were perfect! So I’m good to go until next year.

I’m glad you are healthy and happy, my friend!
But seriously? No TREATS in the vet’s office??? If I were your hooman, I’d protest (or get them to take 15% off the bill!)
Purrz!

Sooo happy everything was purrfect! Your Vet should do what my Vet did. They expanded and now one side of the Vet is devoted to dogs and the other is devoted to cats (the only time a dog goes on the cat side is if they are having surgery or a dental, normal exams are on the dog side). They also have different doors to enter the cat side and the dog side. I don’t worry about dogs with Roary since we have a dog……but for those who have a cat and don’t want to come into contact dogs, it was very considerate of our Vet to remodel to make that arrangement.
We are happy to hear that you are in good health!
You did so well at the vet! Glad to hear you’re in great health and you still get to do your therapy work!
Great Job Summer ! My cats hate their annual checkups. My calico Kali Girl screams bloody murder & my Thomas hides under his blanket.
Glad your vet visit went well, Summer! Ava had her checkup yesterday, and like you got a clean bill of health. 🙂
So glad your checkup went well Summer !
You didn’t have to go through all that to be told you were perfect. We already knew that!
Glad your visit went well Summer!
Annual check ups are important for all of us , I am pleased yours went well
We are glad all the tests say you are healthy. You have lots of impawtant work ta do! We hate all those undignified tests ourselves, but at least you had great results.
That’s wonderful Summer. I was thrilled that my 13 1/2 year old Princesse’s blood work came back perfect. She, however was not amused mol
So glad you’re perfect, Summer, ❤️
Under 7lbs? I had no idea what a teeny cat Summer is
Glad everything checked out well. I don’t know why they can’t come up with an ear thermometer for cats. XO
Even the furmouse need medical check ups!!
Glad all is well:)
We knew you were purrfect!
Good that’s out of the way for another year. The vet probably
likes getting to see you for the well checks.
Glad that all went well, Summer!
So glad you didn’t get Doctor anxiety! You are very brave and healthy which makes all of us happy.
I am happy everything went well at the vet!
Happy your vet visit was all right Summer
Glad you had a vet visit, Summer. I didn’t think I would be able to leave a comment as the page kept zooming up and down, but it worked on the third try. I don’t know why it does that sometimes, but if you don’t get a comment from me that is why.
That should have read GOOD vet visit!
