During the late afternoon this time of year, the sun comes through the living room shutters and creates some cool shadows. I was hanging out right where it looked the best, so my human took advantage and grabbed her camera for some portraits.
But it wasn’t as simple as just turning on the camera. To make sure the contrast wasn’t overwhelming, my human had to add an extra light source to balance out the shadows. Plus it was partly cloudy out, so sometimes the shadows were darker, and sometimes they were lighter. Actually, the last part was kind of a fun bonus.
Of course I was happy to pose. I always am!
We tried several different angles, full shots and close ups.
The funny thing is, my human actually hates those shutters! She thinks they are old and ugly. The only reason she doesn’t replace them with curtains is because every so often, they make for interesting lighting for photos.
I hope you enjoyed these! If you have a favorite, I’d really like to know in the comments.
